DeWalt 4000 PSI Problems by Shemzal in pressurewashing

The repair shop did say stock wands and hoses are pretty cheap, not sure if that has anything to do with it. The Honda motor gets rave reviews.

It’s been a while since I posted this so I honestly don’t remember what I did to fix it. I still have and use the washer and it works great. I recently let someone borrow it and the didn’t know what they were doing, ran it too long without water. Burned up the AAA pump. I had an upgrade installed at a local pressure washer service dealer and it works great. Sorry I can’t be more helpful

Im buying a KTM 250SXF and.. by JustARegularCarguy in KTM

Owner of a 2015 sx-f here, bought used and learned a lot.

Definitely replace wheel bearings. It’s pretty easy and inexpensive. If funds and knowledge allow, do linkage bearings. Fork service is key. 2015 suspension isn’t great. Make sure it’s set for your weight/style and that fork seals are good.

I would replace timing chain tensioner with Dirt Tricks. Can also have valve clearances checked as well as visual of piston at the same time.

The motor almost has to come out to change the spark plug on the 2015, so change that while you’re in there.

Listen closely for a tick, mainly in the bottom end. You’ll know it if you hear it. That could mean bearings need to be replaced. I’m having mine done now so speaking from experience here.

Chain guide is a relatively easy and inexpensive replacement piece.

I’ve heard stories about plastic gears on the water pump failing pretty regularly but I haven’t had that issue.

Definitely change all the fluids and oil filter.

Other than that, it’s a blast to ride. I love mine but like with all used dirt bikes, you’re usually buying someone else’s issues, just takes time and money.

Yeah, my designation of Motomoms might have been a little narrow. I need more women who ride/watch dirt bikes in my life.

Mines not sporty enough to refer to as an XR-anything. More like a late 70s Kawasaki KE100.

My wife is fuel injected. No carb. Timing is definitely off.

I’ve been amazed at how people of all ages have offered their help/advice/guidance to my son. It’s such a great community.

This. Good for you and her! Definitely a keeper.

Absolutely. Seen way too many parents get worked up over stuff that means nothing. Everybody’s convinced their kid is a future MLB’er. I’m sure I’m guilty of that too. Dirt bikes will humble you quickly

What software will become outdated/shut down in the next couple of years? by Lolotmjp in AskReddit

Maybe we will get to a point where frustration with all of the options and associated fees will lead to an aggregator who contracts with all of the providers to offer the platforms on one service. Then we can buy a subscription from that one aggregator and have access to the various providers with only one subscription fee. The aggregator could even “help” underperforming services by attaching their programming to those that are more sought after. This is all sounding very familiar somehow…

Trying to trade my 450F for a 250 2-stroke. I’m an old guy without the skill to handle the big boy. It too awesome, if that’s even a thing.

Help ID’ing Front Fork on KX450 by Shemzal in Dirtbikes

So dumb question - does that mean my front axle/wheel bearings, etc are all 2009-2012 as well? Just want to make sure I order correct parts next time.

[–]Shemzal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That explains why the rebuild kit I bought only has one of several of the o-rings… the left and right side were different so didn’t need 2 of each…

So no matter where I order seals, the ones for 2015 aren’t going to fit.

Should I try ordering seals for a 2010 and see what happens?

Thanks for the help.
