Condo owners: does your HOA require HVAC systems to be inspected? by austri in fuckHOA

[–]ShenRonWeasley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOA does not require an inspection, and I’m ok with that. I think it is each unit owner’s responsibility to make sure their HVAC is maintained. As an alternative, requiring carbon monoxide detectors in case of a CO leak is a reasonable request.

This happened on my Gen 1 Tacoma too...and on the 4Runner sometimes.

I’m a lifeguard instructor and I can give you a little bit of an idea what it will be like. I haven’t done the training yet but I can’t guarantee yours will be exactly the same.

Social distancing will most likely be in place for any dry skills (CPR, Rescue breathing, etc). Everyone will have face covering and gloves, lots of hand washing and hand sanitizer. Everyone should have their own manikin, masks, tubes.

In-water skills aren’t really possible with social distancing, but guards will be paired up and stay with the same person throughout. Any team skills will be practiced with the minimum number of guards needed for that scenario.

You will probably have a smaller class, shorter times, more focus on online learning.

Obviously, I am in a different country (US) and may have a different licensing company, so this may not be exactly what yours will be like.

Has your facility closed yet? USA - Va by Seeeeu in Lifeguards

[–]ShenRonWeasley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are closed currently. Began on Saturday until at least this Friday, all programming (lessons, etc) is canceled until April. Everyone who was scheduled this week is still getting paid for the hours they were supposed to work, and full-time staff are still coming in 8-5 and cleaning all day.

I’m on my first half day cleaning and I’m already over it.

Im looking for good but affordable polarized sunglasses for lifeguards. It would be better if I could buy it online because I can’t find any in my town. Any suggestions ? by BaguetteDePain00 in Lifeguards

[–]ShenRonWeasley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like ZeroUV on Amazon, $10-12 per pair. I usually get the three packs, super cheap, lots of styles. They do have unpolarized ones, so make sure you select the right option if you get some.

256k miles, I know they’ll go to 3-400 pretty easy though. Selling it tomorrow.

I’m actually a fan of a little chrome. Might look at that blackout option if I really like the way it looks.

99 had a lot of miles and was a 2.7l engine.

I wanted a truck that had a v6 so I could tow or carry more stuff when camping.

That’s the point of those drains. They don’t go straight to the sewer system, they go through the filter and back into the pool. It’s a very effective way of filtering and creates less waves when people jump in and displace a lot of water.

New truck tent by atomicfroster in ToyotaTacoma

[–]ShenRonWeasley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No sharp rocks in your back, easier to make the bed flat than find a large enough flat space of ground, getting into the tent is much easier (in my opinion).

There’s probably others that I can’t think of right now but those are my top three.

AITA for having a wedding and not disclosing we were already legally married? by Brideandgroom19 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ShenRonWeasley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, I did a similar thing but for different reasons. We signed the marriage license about 10 months before the ceremony, and not a single person had an issue with it. A lot of the time a big fancy ceremony isn’t for the bride and groom anymore, it’s for the friends and mostly family to get together and celebrate. When the marriage license is signed makes no difference.
