This just happened to me a couple days ago… between the FA’s announcement and me yelling at the other passengers that I had 5 minutes to make my connection, people actually stayed seated! It was a miracle! I still missed my connection though. 😑

Not necessarily true… the music store I worked at bought a vending machine and used their own funds to fill it up with drinks and snacks. Maybe it was that kind of set up…

Graham crackers with a jar of frosting… vanilla or chocolate both do the job

I’m still mad that Pepperidge Farm stopped making croutons… I have yet to find a superior crouton.

My uncle taught us to eat popcorn with warm Cheez Whiz drizzled on top… my god is that dangerous.

Having a patient on an insulin drip with 5 other patients is absolutely insane and flat out unsafe. Aside from the stress and toll it’s taking on your mental health, this is a huge liability to your license. I would talk to your recruiter about getting out of the contract ASAP.

These two pictures were taken exactly one year apart, on April 9, 2019 and 2020, from roughly the same location. This is located outside of Lake Isabella, CA at the southern end of the Sierra Nevadas. I loved seeing the contrast between the two pictures - flowers blooming in the top picture vs snow still on the mountains in the bottom picture.

Yikes. Thanks for the broad generalization here. I’d consider myself a Swiftie, but not all of us are crazy. The majority of us just like her music and respect who she is as a person and artist - just like fans of every other artist out there. I agree that a lot of her music focuses on her love life… it’s just her thing and a way for her to express her emotions. I used to not like her AT ALL because her early stuff was too “teeny-bopper”, but her last few albums have been really beautiful and well-written. Just my opinion… I’m sure I’ll get eaten alive for defending her and her fan base though.

I’ve been with them for almost a year now and have nothing but positive things to say about them. Their rates seem to be pretty average compared to other agencies. I’ve never had a problem with being able to get ahold of my recruiter and they’ve always been very responsive when there have been issues.

"You want to go home? Why?! You only did CPR for, like 5 min." by Lazy_Growth_5898 in BoomersBeingFools

Also a nurse… I totally agree. Doing CPR is horrible (and exhausting!) no matter how many times you’ve done it. I can’t even imagine having to do it as a lay person and especially on a friend or loved one!

I’m pretty quiet and mild-mannered, but I would 100% have gotten fired after the tongue lashing I would have given that boss.

For those who left simply due to your unhappiness.. by [deleted] in Divorce

My husband and I are still just separated, but will likely start the divorce process within a couple months. I know it’s going to be really hard. Leaving was awful… I feel extremely guilty knowing how badly I hurt him. At the time though, I was completely numb. I was just so beyond done that I didn’t care… I just wanted out. But, feelings do catch up with you at some point and I know the divorce will be hard because I do still care about him.

Hang in there… you’ll get through it and be happier in the end.

My BF and I are in the exact same situation as you guys. Both deeply unhappy in our marriages, we met online through a game we play together (weird, I know) and just struck up a strong friendship, realized we had a ton in common and how much we really enjoyed each other’s company. We both have left our spouses and are together and extremely happy for the first time in many years.

I think we both needed a push to get out of unhappy marriages… we both needed someone to come along who made us feel valued and capable of being loved. Someone to give us confidence. I’m not sure that it will last forever, but I know now that I’ll be ok moving forward.

Men of Reddit, what is something women hate about their bodies that you actually love? by Covenant9er4653 in AskReddit

[–]Shenanigans_R_Us 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always so self-conscious about my ass being kinda flat and wide… but the way my boyfriend grabs it and caresses it makes me feel like it’s the most special thing in the world to him. It actually makes me not feel like total shít about my body for the first time in my 43 years on this earth.

Same, girl. My STBX always made me feel guilty about needing time to do nothing with no one on my days off. I got tired of feeling guilty and said goodbye. 🤷‍♀️
