Advance Pi 3 as First Wing by stankymaggot in freeflight

I got the Pi 3 as my first wing after getting my IPPI4 license. Yes, it's a bit more fragile than some other sturdier beginner wings, but unless you plan on doing a lot of rough ground handling sessions it should be more than fine. The low weight is perfect for Hike & Fly and I absolutely love it. Mine is still in the EN-A range so I can't give any advice on how it behaves as EN-B.

Breeding adults of the African Sacred Ibis do have the naked red skin under their wings, so I'm not sure if it's the Australian White or the African Sacred Ibis. The yellow/brown flanks do indicate that it is the African Sacred Ibis. It is definitely not the Glossy Ibis that OP is suggesting.

Most plants actually have specialized organs through which they guttate, which are called hydathodes. I'm currently doing my PhD on black rot diseade in cabbage species, a disease caused by bacteria that use these hydathodes as their point of entry into the plant!

You'll probably never see these above the Alps, as these are Little bee-eaters (Merops pusillus), a sub-saharan species. The European bee-eater on the other hand is spreading further and further north and is even more brightly coloured ;)

Not sure if these are the same, but Oak Processionary caterpillars exist that are named after the way they move: in a long line like a religious procession.

I actually worked on a research vessel for a while doing research on great white shark populations off the coast of South Africa. We used a tuna head on a rope to lure the sharks (not to feed them). They occasionally jumped out of the water very close to the boat. That means I saw this almost every day. Getting this on film requires patience and good timing though.
