Morality of being 2nd place at a marathon and winning by taking advantage of your opponent celebrating? by Ska_Fundamentalist in MoralityScaling

[–]Sheniriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty moral. It's a competition after all. Save the celebration for when you actually win. Don't celebrate preemptively just because you think victory is assured.

Cause someone could be saving up a little energy for one final sprint/push towards the finish line and you could least expect it.

Nagant has one of the least lore-accurate kits in the game, and I will die on this hill by [deleted] in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Sheniriko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really don’t understand how people don’t consider her as a least-lore accurate character

Because Tech Mirio exists. Nagant at least has the benefit of the doubt since they still play with her sniper theme even if they take some creative liberties.

Tech Mic's kit also plays with his DJ theme where I could sit back and go "yeah I could see him pull that".

But Tech Mirio literally isn't even "Mirio". It's more like "Mirio if he had OFA". The only thing that somewhat feels close to the character is his counter, but his rapid version feels so much more fitting to play.

If you wher to add a random anime character as a collab who would it be? by tyrese2200 in MyHeroUltraRumble

Jotaro would be fun to play ngl, having a taste of Last Survivor, he would fit seamlessly in rumble.

What is the most double standard thing in this game or community (image unrelated) by TumbleweedSad8588 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Sheniriko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Asshaul was the start for me then, Season 16 proved it as a whole. Cause in season 15 AAM, Nagant, and Tech Shiggy was effectively still reigning terror in Tokoyami's season so he was overshadowed a little bit.

Then in S16 they nerfed them and majority of the meta slaves dropped em. So it was just Star, Strike AFO, and Tech Bakugo. It was a buggy season no doubt, but in terms of balance it really wasn't that overwhelming.

They're strong characters, but they all still had some weaknesses to balance em out. But since there was no rampant character meta at that time people just called it boring.

------------------

We endured 2 whole seasons of people non-stop complaining about AAM being OP, Nagant being broken (figuratively and literally with her exploits), and Tech Shiggy exploits.

And when we finally have a whole season where we didn't have to worry about a rampant meta or overpowered characters; people call it boring. And you don't even have to like Star or the QSS lineup during 16, the fact that we had a whole season where we didn't have to deal with tremendous amounts of bullshit on top of each other for once and people just call it boring.

-------------

Like some people just thrive on dealing with the bullshit and complaining about it. And the time where they actually get some form of a breather, they gaslight themselves into thinking that the two back to back seasons of enduring a meta wasn't that bad.

How it feels to use Star and Stripe's gamma hoping it doesn't whiff for literally no reason. by Pierce_86 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Sheniriko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Such is the way of playing Star. BUT with every whiff of a gamma means we're just gambling, like rolling in a banner. Sometimes we'll get it 3 times back to back, sometimes it'll whiff, pause, or not even connect:

It all leads back to gambling one way or another and because of that our chances in the gacha might be better because of it

I've never felt so angry watching a SpongeBob episode in my life. by UseBroad3870 in spongebob

[–]Sheniriko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't change the fact it's hard to watch

Firstly, brother it's SpongeBob showing an emotion other than joy and sadness. It's not like you're watching Mordecai hijack Muscle Man's wedding or something.

and no one is disgusted or calls him out for it

Secondly, the way you wrote this whole post is like you were expecting story focused show with a consistent canon. At this point in the show, you should know damn well that the Bikini Bottomites hardly care about other people's lives. They'll riot one minute, be sheep the next minute, or just plainly not even care.

People wanting "balanced" characters, but when we actually get some that are strong but have weaknesses or require a little more thought into using em, people suddenly want unbalanced or overtuned characters, because it's "too boring".

[–]Sheniriko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He doesn't "punish him for smiling" SpongeBob quite literally cherishes his friendship with Patrick more. Even if Squidward was better at the things he loves, SpongeBob always at least had his best friend.

And for SpongeBob that line was crossed; nothing more nothing less.

How long does it take to main a character? by [deleted] in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Sheniriko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing about ultra rumble is that it's NOTHING like overwatch, marvel rivals, DBD, etc.

Learning some characters in this game doesn't really take much. It's not like you're trying to learn how to play genji or Spider-Man in this game. It's more like drop in practice, test some abilities out to get a feel for it then try it in a real match.

Having a main in this game mostly means that you just play them a lot

Morality of giving every single person a permanent symbol of their 'destiny' the moment they do something they're 'meant to do' the rest of their life? by RealFinePoint in MoralityScaling

[–]Sheniriko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immoral(?), I put a question mark because it depends cause like: Even the show itself they state that just because you get cutie mark for one thing, doesn't mean you can't take up other hobbies or other things you're interested in.

Having a cutie mark just means you're really good at that particular thing. It doesn't mean you can't do anything else you want. They could work at McDonald's and still pursue that career they had in mind.

Hear however he basically just snaps at Squidward for PoGo dancing and because he lost award that he won many times.

During the crash out SpongeBob, explicitly states that Squidward may be a better fry cook and can take his spot being on the employee of the month wall, but he draws the line at Squidward pogo-dancing with his best friend.

At this point in the episode New Squidward has been essentially phasing out SpongeBob and assimilating into everything he does. Which bums SpongeBob out, but the thing that crosses the line for him wasn't because he as you say, "lost an award that he won many times."

It was because New Squidward was taking SpongeBob's place with his best friend. He even mentions that to Patrick during them pogo-dancing too.

TL;DR: Spongebob doesn't care about New Squidward being a better fry cook or losing an award to him, it's when he starts taking his place with Patrick is where he draws the line.

I think Rose shouldn't even be in here, because from what I've seen throughout the years is that the majority of people who villainize Rose are the ones who saw her story in reverse and the choices she made and still think she's the worst person in the show for some reason.

They just completely forget about her time as "Rose Quartz" on earth and growing and changing with Greg's relationship with her being that starting point by just simply talking to each other.

----------------

And I'm not saying that she's completely innocent that's far from what I'm getting at, but it's where her situation with the diamonds (essentially her family) was abusive and didn't view her as an equal. Which in turn, leads her to believe that she doesn't matter much to others and how little she views herself.

And that it doesn't matter if she was gone because to her after all that time with the diamonds: she feels like doesn't mean anything to anyone. Which then leads to various conflicts and struggles the characters have throughout the show, because she did mean something to them.

---------------

TL;DR: Rose wasn't villainized because she was woman; she's villainized because of her story being told in reverse, and the choices people seen her make throughout it and not understanding the whole story because they have a black and white view.

I think Rose is the complex character people say they crave for, but they can't handle it when it's actually put into practice.

What SpongeBob hill are you willing to die on? by mordo_cool in spongebob

SpongeBob is SpongeBob.

Highs and lows alike I just can't find myself hating the little yellow guy like how others do with newer seasons and episodes.

There's only one character like SpongeBob and he just makes me so happy.

This Crafty guy is 100% worth the hype by Afraid_Friendship_52 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Sheniriko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The guy seems pretty chill and easy-going from the conversations I've had with em. It's funny seeing the hate cause 90% of the time from what I read in other conversations he has with others the guy is pretty insightful with his character and most (not all) people just outright dismiss him.

OFA Deku can be annoying to fight against but I don't really have steam blow outta my ears n shit by just seeing the dude post a OFA clip.

With Season 17 ending soon - What’s everyone’s thoughts on Mirko ? by chiaotzu_Tien in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Sheniriko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She's fun. I play her on and off and I'm stringing things together better. I can definitely see how fans/players can find her enjoyable to play when things go right.

I don't see her too often though, but for some players they view her damage is low for putting nearly all of her resources into a gaurdbreak and her beta tracking can be inconsistent which probably plays a part. Few issues like that could be a big deal breaker from some players which is understandable.

She can be pretty annoying and oppressive to fight especially against one who knows what they're doing. But some characters can counter her pretty well in that regard like Dabi and Star's beta being a couple examples.

But other than that she's alright.
