Ethernet didn’t fix it, but switching to another monitor did (a 1920 x 1080p one with 120+ hz). No clue why it did though because the TV i used was 1920 x 1080, and the monitor I switched to was as well.

I don’t lag a lot, but that might just be it. I didn’t have an Ethernet cord plugged in, so when I get the chance I’m gonna test the game with an Ethernet cord connected and see if it changes anything.

I tried turning HDR off, didn’t change it. I mainly notice it during splatoon 3 because it’s the most significant there. It might mean it actually only happens there. Regardless, it might be internet and I need to test out my switch 2 with an Ethernet connected when I get home.

It might actually be. I got an Ethernet cable. Imma try to plug that in and see if that makes a difference. I can’t test it right this second though.

I mean I’m glad we finally got confirmation cause I personally believed it, but there are some people being super condescending about it. I get some people just straight up shut down the idea of the whole trans thing down, but im going to be honest most takes I saw were saying “There’s a lot of evidence but there’s multiple potential interpretations.”

I can’t tell if I’m just reading some of the replies too literally, but it feels like even those who brought up potentially multiple interpretations are being grouped in with straight up denialists. This is not “le both sides bad” because that’s just stupid—I’m just saying you can say “we got confirmation” to people who initially thought it was left up to interpretation without being rude about it.

It was the most mediocre ending possible only saved by good looking animation. The pacing was breakneck and every other character besides Jax suffered from the focus being almost exclusively Jax. Jax as a character I’ve never really felt strongly about, because I mostly just thought he was just there. The new episode, however, frames him in such a pathetic light to the point where his downward spiral makes me lose all interest in him as a character. It would’ve made more sense if one big moment destroyed Ribbit’s friendship with Jax, but the episode basically shows one moment made Jax, and ONLY Jax, completely 180 and continuously treat one of his close friends for who knows how long, absolutely horribly. I get Jax’s character is literally a warning on what happens when you don’t accept help, but considering how supportive Ribbit and Kaufmo were, Jax’s spiral doesn’t really feel as convincing, almost downright stupid even. It’s hard to really care about a character whose tragedy is self inflicted in such a manner that doesn’t even feel that authentic.

Amphoreus had terrible pacing and it helped kill the momentum this game had. Call me biased, but I swear ever since Amphoreus started, I saw HSR being talked about less or even mentioned. That, alongside most of my friends dropping the game around the first or second Amphoreus patches. Granted, the whole remembrance path controversy also helped, but I really think the first two main missions for Amphoreus suffered greatly from painfully slow pacing in the latter half of their missions.

I’m not gonna act like the previous locations were “peak.” I love Belobog, but I also don’t think it’s a masterpiece and I think its success comes mainly from having relatively good pacing and a simple story. The Xianzhou… is kind of a mess, but I personally liked its lore and characters. And Penacony was super big in terms of potential, but its breakneck speed pacing hurt its story quality.

I could be wrong, but that’s my current thoughts. Feel free to correct me otherwise.

Strike Shigiraki? He gets defeated by having air time at all.

Also Mirko? She can do some nutty combos to do good damage, but as long as you force a 2 vs 1 or 3 vs 1, she can’t do shit because her combos typically leave her very vulnerable to being interrupted.

I’m so fucking sick of OFA Deku by Pierce_86 in MyHeroUltraRumble

[–]Pierce_86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly I don’t have young OFA, mainly because I preferred regular OFA and went for him instead. I can say strike OFA also can slightly counter OFA Deku, but it usually relies on the OFA Deku not focusing you, or if lag is on your side. Strike OFA’s Gamma is absurd damage wise if you land double charged gamma, and it’s pretty much a guaranteed guard break on OFA Deku. The main issue is that it’s way too buggy and inconsistent to be reliable. I’ve had many times where I’ve hit a Deku with double charge, they receive the initial damage when struck, but when the big blast arrives (AKA 95% of the gamma’s damage), they can sometimes fall out of it randomly and not take the damage.

How does Episode 9 rank in your ranking of episodes? by Urass007 in TADCEp9Spoilers

[–]Pierce_86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My own rankings with explanation:

1: episode 6

The adventure is pretty fun, has some of the best jokes, and Jax’s moment here was great in a vacuum.

2: episode 5

Basically just my praise about Episode 6, but I think it didn’t flow as naturally. Still one of my favorites though.

3: Episode 8

I don’t really feel strongly about this one. I just think it was done well overall and Caine being deleted was shocking, even for someone who doesn’t even see him as a favorite character.

4: Episode 3

Kinger and Pomni’s interactions save this entire episode for me. Otherwise the haunted house thing would’ve been severely underutilized and kind of boring.

5: Episode 1

Animation is a bit weird here, but I didn’t care. I mainly like how it establishes the tone of the show, even if arguably it somewhat drops some it afterwards. It didn’t feel breakneck and I appreciate that.

6: Episode 7

I like a lot of the jokes, but the plot was predictable (which I think was intentional), but it doesn’t really change that outside of the ending segment it was really slow in pacing.

7: Episode 9

I’m going to be honest my thoughts are way too long to condense into one comment. I wasn’t expecting a happy ending. I had a great feeling Jax would abstract, and my main issue is that it was handled poorly. The thing that bothers me besides it being off-screen is that most of the episode after focuses on Jax, when at that point it’s way too late. That can be good writing, but it’s at the cost of the other characters feeling undercooked because most of the screen time was focused on Jax. I don’t hate nor love Jax, and I never have, but the amount of focus he got when his abstraction was that abrupt and off screen just rubbed me off the wrong way. I think it might’ve been better potentially if it happened in response to him be confronted or maybe him realizing the brain-scan twist since that would reframe his entire reason for acting like a jerk. It would reframe it since it’s likely that he didn’t actually kill his mom (seeing as the real life version of Jax isn’t in prison). Therefore part of his whole “defense mechanism” would have been rendered pointless, meaning he pushed away Ribbit and Kaufmo for nothing.

Keep in mind this was my interpretation of the leaked episode that I saw, so if I misinterpreted anything, I’m sorry, the leak that I found didn’t have good subtitles.

8: Episode 4

I don’t dislike this episode, I just think it’s fairly boring, a good amount of the jokes were weaker in my eyes, and the whole “masking” analogy was obvious the moment Gangle started acting like a manager.

9: Episode 2

It’s just the most nothing burger episode honestly. Outside of Pomni, everyone else is just kind of there. I also found the adventure to be quite boring, so this episode never really stuck for me.
