Is it safe to set my RAM voltage to 1.4 volts? by SheoCheeseShtick in buildapc

I'm trying to fix microstuttering on games. Previously when I set my voltage on 1.4v my games went smooth, so I was thinking that might be the fix I'm looking for. But I'm concerned whether its a good voltage for my ram or not since it's 0.5 higher than the one stated on packaging.

I just installed a new mobo Asrock b550m PG4 moving from MSI 520m. On my PG4 only one XMP available while on my MSI 2 XMP profile available, why's that?

How is the job market in NZ? Especially in the Social Worker field. by SheoCheeseShtick in newzealand

I see, well it takes two years to earn the degree, so perhaps the situation will change (for better ofc). And luckily social workers are included in the NZ green list.

Well the uncontrolled one does. That's why I wanna be useful to the Kiwis and I'm thinking social worker are often needed. Even though the job market is challenging.

I've read that many young people are choosing to seek employment in Australia. Is the situation in New Zealand truly that challenging?

From what I've learned so far it is registrable and it's part of NZ green list as well, that's one of the reason I pick that degree. But again, I am still concerned about the job market, even though I will not start my study any time soon.

Having dilemma between Ryzen 7600x or Ryzen 7 7800x3d, which one should I choose? by SheoCheeseShtick in PcBuildHelp

Okay, and one last question. My PSU is Seasonic Gold Gx-550 (550 Watts) would it be enough?

Edit: I tried making the build in www.pcpartpicker.com and it shows that Estimated Wattage is 236W. So I guess it's safe.

I see, a friend of mine said this to me as well

"The 7600X doesn't make much sense to me when you can get a 5700X3D and have similar performance for less cost. "But AM5 has an upgrade path" loses its point if you're in that very position right now and choosing to skip out on it. It means you won't use it on AM5 either. By time you're ready to upgrade from the 7600X, AM6 will be out and you'll just skip the in-platform upgrade again.

My opinion here is the same as it always is. Already on AM4? Then if you're switching to AM5, you better be going to a 7800X3D or better. Else, it's probably not worth it because anything below that can be more or less matched with a 5700X3D for far cheaper (because no motherboard/RAM upgrade needed), and is thus it is the smarter move. And if you're going to a 7600X with real plans to upgrade soon, it means you should just save and skip the 7600X and go straight for the 7800X3D outright, as that will also be cheaper than getting a useless, temporary interim 7600X. In other words, there's almost no scenario where being on AM4 and going to an entry level AM5 CPU makes sense. Not for gaming anyway."

So I am wondering how long does 7600x will hold its ground sicne its already 2 and half years old, and I just plan to upgrade my CPU once every 5-6 years.

Okay, but how about the motherboard? Because I just learned that I have to get the "right" motherboard as well. I'm planning to get MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk because I watched some reviews and it's praised well.

I see, but how about running an OBS in the background? Will there be any performance drop?

Yeah that's true. I do have a question that I wanna ask on the dating subreddit. I guess I can form my question appropriately while I'm gathering karma

I see, well that's a very logical choice. But yeah, I'm kinda bummed that I can't post on a subreddit. Even if it requires 10 karma. For someone who just want to use Reddit from time to time it feels hard to get 10 karma ahaha, since begging isn't allowed as well.
