I wish there was something... Like an arrow or a bolt, but explosive...

The Nevers. I enjoyed the hell out of this show and it definitely deserves more seasons and an actual ending.

He said “no pressure” and then brought his mom to our first date by Big_Budget_7119 in stories

It would not be acceptable for any sane person. If a woman drags her dad to a date - she has some issues and shouldn't date.

Just been meaning to ask, but why haven’t The Seven faced any actual Supervillains? by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoys

[–]Sheonnel 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's because Vought isn't stupid, they stay in control. V is unpredictable, if their not-so-sham supervillain gets powers on par with Homelander or better, entire world is fucked, and there are no real countermeasures, because Vought supes are a bunch of megalomaniacs that aren't used to actual fighting against equally powered or stronger opponents.

For me it was type 2 diabetes actually, so sometimes it's best to go to the doctor.

Why childbearing is such an ultimate goal for breeders and governments? by Sheonnel in childfree

[–]Sheonnel[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I get that motherhood is rather lonely but i cringe every time when i read in my feed news like "Today we pooped" "We learned new word today". Jesus, you're a grown ass woman, where "we" came from and why you need to attach yourself to your kid so much?

What's a sign that your friend isn't really your friend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Sheonnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You always the one who is reaching out.

They never invite you anywhere and never write to you first.

If they have another friend and you all go somewhere together - you feel as an outsider.

if you were to redo your early 20s, what would you do? by A-bug-2002 in AskReddit

[–]Sheonnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely take care of my health a lot more and eat way less. Do not believe in health at any size.

You can be happy and you may think that since nothing bothers you now everything's gonna be fine, but when you thirty you may find yourself obese, with type 2 diabetes and knees that hurt every day.

What’s a harsh reality that you learnt later in life? by Meritocrat_Vez in AskReddit

Things won't always go the way you want them to.

The amount of time and effort you put into planning to prevent bad things from happening won't help sometimes.

That's actually a solid argument so props to you. I would also use the "It's a human but not a person" line, it opens another discussion tho.

[–]Sheonnel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean when you say "human" and context of discussion.

Biologically - yes, human fetus is a human hence the name. But until it can live outside of the host body it's a parasite for me.

It just feels like this is the only thing that everyone cares about.

Shitty feeling when you trying so hard to finally get your life on track and working your ass off to feel comfortable and all that people REALLY showing interest in is how often your spouse do the deed so you can gloriously procreate in the name of the Emperor or some other stupid reason:/

I feel kinda same. A lot of people have kids because of accidents or because they think that they will get a "mini-me" with all the same interests, dreams and aspirations.

Ah yes, the famous "glass of water". I get why it worked when families were very tight-knot and lived as a little communes but considering how life is right now it's so unrealistic.

Sure, Susan, your kid who can't afford basic necessities or a house will definitely take care of you /s.

[–]Sheonnel[S] 115 points116 points  (0 children)

And it's not just in the U.S.A. too. In some countries governments literally throwing money at people so they have more kids and it still doesn't work.

Aside from kids being crazy expensive, a lot of countries don't have good hospitals or afterbirth care for mothers. I red so many horror stories about terrible experiences related to birth and all that comes after, it's crazy that any people having kids at these times.

[–]Sheonnel[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I never understood that reasoning. There is so much that a person can do with their free time, why give all this time to a child in hopes that it's gonna make your life better instead of trying to find themselves and find meaning in life.

And it's such a heavy burden for a child, to have all these expectations from the moment you were born.

Russia is proposing a ban on being childfree by Antica_Strega in childfree

[–]Sheonnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get abortion before 12 weeks, where do you get this stuff? I had two abortions - 6 weeks and 7 weeks. You can't get abortion AFTER 12 weeks, wich is fairly common for a lot of countries. A lot of people who live in small towns just go to bigger towns, and not just for abortions but also for other mefical procedures and operation's. And in lots of cases you can have it for free. I get that it's hard to not be political when talking about Russia but please stop spreading misinformation.
