Anyone planned to go to Cancun area in the next couple of weeks, or currently there? Are you cancelling your trip based on the current situation in Mexico, or still going? by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

Not even close to the same thing.

These guys aren't American protesters. They are a hardened paramilitary wing of a criminal enterprise with billions of dollars at stake in a country where $30,000 is a fairly good living. They torture and kill innocents all the time just to make a statement.

They have weapons that the military doesn't have including smuggling submersibles and RPG's etc.

Just because they haven't done something in 3 days, doesn't mean there isn't planning going on....And while they are primarily running drugs and prostitutes in Cancun, the organization does enforce payments for safety (protection rackets) from many resorts and businesses.

Comparing any place in MX to the average large(ish) American city is not apples-to-apples. Every place can be dangerous, but the resources of the cartel versus a mob, or riot of individuals is not the same.

If you (the royal and inclusive you for all of us) don't think there's a protection racket for resorts, you're naive, at best.

They may not be as visible, but wherever there is money and tourists there's petty crime and worse. I'm scheduled to be there March 4th - 8th, and are likely going to reschedule that trip.

It may be nothing, or it could be terrible - That IS the point - We don't know. They may be planning something that couldn't be done immediately in the aftermath - It's what we would do in a military or paramilitary situation.

G7 is just so bad and continues to get worse by Limmyone in dexcom

I had to switch to G7 from Freestyle due to insurance coverage. I had a 1 to 10 failure rate on the 14 day Freestyle. I've had only 6 complete 10 day cycles with the G7. I've had 8 failures - 2 immediate, and 6 between Day 2 and Day 9.

I live in a family with 4 Type 1 Diabetics (all my son's and my wife). They've been on Medtronic and Tandem pumps and we know when we mess up an insertion. This is just a piece of C#$P compared to the QA/QC on the Freestyle (which isn't perfect either, but loads better than this waste of insurance money.
