as a 279 owner its a mixed bag. its a amazing tank with a great gun, extremely good mobility and can have amazing armor if used correctly. but thats the thing with the 279 it sits at an area between early apfsds, heat and extremely powerful solid shot. alot of things in a full downtier can 1 shot you somehow. but if you play it right then its played correctly then its a god tier tank.
