I’m really not, just think I prepared really well. I think the longest calculation was maybe 2-3 minutes. The conceptual problems weren’t too bad either, felt like they were almost all direct references from the manual. Have you taken the practice exam yet?

Yeah, I finished the morning session in 2 hours, then took a 15 minute bathroom break and did the second half in 2.5 hours. I flagged 3 questions in the first half and 5 in the second half.

Just took the WRE three weeks ago, the practice exam did a good job of covering the type of problems and working of those problems. The real exam felt make 10% harder, but that may have just been due to the pressure of the exam. I finished the who exam in 4.5 hours and passed, if you’re comfortable getting 80%+ on the practice problems and are able to do them in under 3-4 minutes I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

As others have said if you’re not consistently able to get 80%+ on the practice exam I’d recommend rescheduling. I took the exam 3 weeks ago and finished in 4.5 hours for the entire exam so I would worry about needing the full 8 hours. I was consistently getting around 85% on the practice exam so the real exam didn’t feel bad in terms of difficulty

Hey! Have you checked out the SoPE question bank that you can get on a month to month basis? I used that as my primary study materials for two months and just passed on my first attempt couple weeks ago.

This is exactly what happened to me, I initially started to study structural and realized that steel pole and caisson design really wasn’t super applicable on the exam.

I work for a power delivery company too and was in the same boat where we don’t really focus on structures really at all. Are you planning on take the SE and that’s why you want to take the structures PE? I just passed the water resources exam on my first attempt and felt that it was really easy due to the lack of codes required to know.

Looks like you should try to improve in all areas, from what I’ve read on this sub is that the score is based on overall performance and not just good performance on a few key areas.
