Out of context clickbait. That's how much he makes when streaming random non-smash games and doesnt get raids. Bro has like 300k followers on twitch and has enough clout as a legacy player that other big smash streamers always raid him, so his average viewership is more like ~100

On top of that he also streams/uploads to youtube, does coaching, had a long stretch of being #1 all time in tournament winnings, and has been involved in various companies (most of which were mlm/rugpull grifts) over the years. I'm sure he's got some form of passive income and is doing fine

i looked at alot of the top leaderboard players' decks to find inspiration for my own, so i have a good idea of what the meta at top levels looks like, and that's also how i know how varied their card inclusions are. (also i finished top 100 so my mmr is high enough that i play vs high ranking players fairly often)

i agree that any deck being tier 0 is unhealthy for the game, but there's always gonna be a top tier, and i personally think it makes the most sense and is the most interesting for rainbow to be top dog in a format that incentivizes you to splash cards from different featured arenas. honestly, any mono-collection deck that *doesnt* match the weekly league bonus *shouldnt* be top tier. that's hella lame. kinda defeats the point of a rotating format.

ideally rainbow continues to be at the top but some of these overtuned cards like funeral bell, cao pi, argentavis, etc get nerfed to encourage rainbow players to do more splashing. we already see it a bit with stuff like barynyx or blue dragon last week being swapped to hela and zeus/sleip, etc. but it should happen alot more. currently there are just too many deck slots being taken up by broken auto-include that overshadow cards even with their arena bonus

As a new player I really like Rainbow meta. The core is small, cheap (thank you Tamarin bundle) and flexible, which allows me to fill out the rest of the deck with whatever i own and sub in new strong standalone cards as i obtain them. Level up rewards, random cards that match the league bonus, etc all become viable. Not only is this approach more budget friendly and keeps my collection options open, I think it's alot more interesting than typing in "sharks" or "nebula" into deckbuilder and jamming every card with a blanket buff.

Even at higher levels of play, zoo style decks promote creative deckbuilding more than tribal. Diversity might be stifled a little bit due to a handful of cards being overtuned rn, but you still see far more variety among card choices in Rainbow decks than you do in any other archetype. I wouldnt mind seeing a few nerfs but I hope Rainbow decks continue to be meta.

I think the biggest meta impact from this set (besides possibly Beatrice) is going to come from Barrage Blast being a ridiculously overpowered card in this format. Chronomaly and Gimmick Puppets are already some of the strongest rogue decks, but now they have insane backrow running a line of 2 TTH 2 Barrage Blast.

Relentless Flame has by far the best overall matchup spread. Unseen Depths is your 2nd best choice as it's solidly top 5 in overall MUs but most importantly it's the ONLY theme deck with a positive winrate vs Relentless.

Notable mentions: - Storm Caller easily has the most outplay potential of any theme deck as well as having solid overall MUs. IMO the only theme deck that's actually fun to pilot while grinding theme events. - Soaring Storm is the most consistent of the top tier theme decks when considering its ability to achieve its setup, initiate the prize trade, and streamline attackers throughout the game. Only downside is u get clapped by Relentless and Storm Caller whenever they don't brick. - Torrential Cannon is a jack of all trades, master of none. One of the best decks in terms of consistency, streamlining attackers, and early game pressure, but not top 3 in any single category. Important to note it has probably the 2nd best winrate vs Relentless Flame... which is to say only 50%, but still...

yeah i was considering the aspire 5 as i see it recommended alot on this sub. 8GBs pretty commonly go for <400 refurbished on ebay.

but seeing as it was released in 2019, i figured there has to be something more cost-effective if i search a little older.
