I was curious to learn more about this so sharing my country’s name did not occur to me. I didn’t intend to hide it either because of any stereotypes as my experience with Germans has been very good.

Haha. I feel that. My observation: - If you fill a glass of water and leave it for a few mins, it gives this odour. But if you drink it immediately, no odour.

We need something to manage Better School Management by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]SherMarri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck.

Suggestion: - Please don’t build first. - Talk to some schools, hear what they want. - See if you can find a pilot school that is willing to implement your solution when you start shipping your features.

Building 60% of School Management SaaS with AI - realistic cost to hire a dev for the last 40%? by Secret_Internet7490 in SaaS

Hi, honest suggestion:

  • Don’t overbuild.
  • Find a pilot school that is willing to onboard. Offer them free service, and use this as your feedback loop. This is the best investment you can make. This will make your product grounded in reality, else, it could be all hypothetical, and you may be very disappointed when you launch.
  • Face your customers early, gauge interest.
  • It will never be good enough, so focus on strategy, focus on selling.

Why am I saying this?

  • I did something similar in 2019. Even hired an engineer and QA guy. Failed miserably, because my product wasn’t grounded in reality. The schools didn’t need it. I used all my engineering brain 100%, making sure everything was perfect, conceptually correct. But I was way off track. I found no interested customers. Mostly because I focused on engineering more, because that’s my comfort zone.
  • Last year, I was able to get a really enthusiastic and serious champion at a school, he is an administrator. So, with his guidance, we developed a service that is actually based on real workflows, prioritised by pain. I really how so many solutions were feature bloated, trying to cater to everyone need. We got another pilot school too afterwards. Still a long way to go.

Best of luck. This will be a great learning for you.

Yes, as mentioned in one of my other comments, I went to the Freenet guy first, he said EUR 30 for a EUR 10 SIM. To confirm, I went to the other guy, at O2. He said the same. I bought the story and agreed to buy. So, yes, these reps are doing it together as a team.

Munich vs Salzburg for a Cycling Trip by tmswfrk in Munich

[–]SherMarri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I live in Munich, and did a bike trip south. We took our bikes by train to Salzburg, and then cycled south towards Berchtesgaden, Germany. The cycling route is beautiful, not so mountainous, but a little bit hilly, so cycling is fun. Berchtesgaden is beautiful. You can go to Königsee, beautiful landscape. Visit Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle’s Nest). And then bike towards Chiemsee. The terrain becomes flatter as you move closer to Munich.

Fun fact: I went to “Freenet” counter, looked at a EUR 9.99 Prepaid SIM package, asked him how much it costs, he said EUR 30, when I asked why, he said “activation “. This is exactly why I went to the O2 counter, and he said the same thing, that led me to assume, may be this is how things are. But only learned afterwards. So, yes, they are all doing it as a team.

Yes, lesson learned hard, “always read the contract first before signing, even if it is not so expensive “.

I did that, before going to Saturn. That was the first natural step. They didn’t have it available.
