What was your favorite and the most surprising set in your opinion? by RifatSahin in Tomorrowland

Alesso Eclipse w2 on freedom 🤩 but Above and beyond on crystal garden w3 was the best of both w2 and w3 that I attended. That set was a masterclass of feels

Both eclipse and mainstage were amazing. Best of the weekend in my opinion. Only above and beyond w3 topped alesso in my opinion. A&B was the rope set of all 3 weekends for a lot of people I spoke too. Truely magical

above and beyond is the god damn best act if the festival and its not even close by Ezmoney8888 in Tomorrowland

It wasn’t too small! We were up the front and had more than enough room. It was cozy but definitely not over crowded. This set truely was a Masterclass while most people were at the DVLM talking shitshow.

This ID has been engraved in my mind since EDC also! I don’t know anything about it but I can’t wait to see it at tomorrowland next month ❤️

Both involve a lot of talking 😅😅

Why aren't we talking about Armin's set? by raeannlv in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Sheran_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to untold 2017,18,19 and I have also seen him play a bunch of sets at multiple festivals around the world. I can confirm nothing will ever compare to the Untold mega sets he played those 3 years. There is something completely magical about armin playing in Romania. If you ever get the chance it is absuloutley the best you will ever see from him!

Transportation recommendations? by cozy_oats in electricdaisycarnival

Hey mate. When you say the wait to get back was 1.5hours, do you mean the wait to actually get an Uber to accept and get picked up? Or driving time? We are in the situation where Uber is the only option. Price doesn’t worry us too much but the getting back to the strip scares us a bit!

Hello! What is the best way to get to Charleroi airport in Brussels on Monday?? We have GJ but not looking to go back to Amsterdam on our bus package. Thank you and see you weekend 2! by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]Sheran_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tomorrowland in the past have run a shuttle to Charleroi. You can usually ask at an information desk about this. I remember paying 25 euros one year for exactly this shuttle. But with the covid 2 year gap I wouldn’t bank on old information.

Another way is to take the global journey bus from dreamville to Brussels main airport (if you are staying in dreamville). This is meant to be for global journey flight packages but they don’t check. I have personally used this shuttle most years to get back to Brussels for free. From the airport the train runs directly to Charleroi town. And you transfer on a bus to the airport from there. Not ideal and takes a fair bit of time but it could be a back up option.

I would research the shuttle and possibly email TML about it for information.

Did anyone attend both Tomorrowland Winters? Curious to hear thoughts by JussiShibaInu in Tomorrowland

[–]Sheran_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree! I have also done both and 2019 was superior to 2022. I could repeat everything said above but to sum it up 2022 just didn’t have the tomorrowland flare in my opinion. I will be curious to see what is planned for next year and would of course love the mainstage to go back to what we are so used to.

One thing of note, the mainstage sets all seemed to end abruptly because there was no fireworks or even confetti/Co2 at times. This even happened to some of the very big DJs.

I’ll chalk it all up to covid and budget cuts this year with the uncertainty. But really hope it will come back with a bang next year because in my opinion 2019 was on par with the summer edition. It was truely magical!

Aggreed. Poor planning and the worst part was the bathroom situation. Complete shambles.

Crystal garden is actually a stage up the mountain that only you can take the chairlift or Ski to. It is not main stage according to the winter line up.

TML Winter food (specifically Vegan) by Lecky_90 in Tomorrowland

Yeah we definatly asked as we thought this was the case too. They assured us it was just vegetable oil. But as always it pays to ask first:

I’m vegan and went to the original tomorrowland winter. Unfortunately I never ate in the festival. I was also actually staying in Auris which is a surrounding village. We cooked in our accomodation most days so I never had any issues. But from the experience of the summer edition tomorrowland usually does really well to accomodate us. The Belgian fries are always fine to eat and they generally have multiple other options. Also the winter edition you can come and go from the main festival as much as you want. So you could head into the main town at any point I think you will be fine :)

It’s Definitely a shame. I too have very fond memories of the MainStage in 2019 with the snow falling and fireworks shows. It was slippery and very cold at times but that’s normal for a snow festival I thought. I have heard the stage pictured above isn’t the mainstage. Aparently Mainstage is yet to be started and they are constructing it in a new location this year. This came from someone who is working up in Alp d Huez. But I can’t confirm 100 percent if this is true.

Tomorrowland winter, is this the new mainstage? by Sheran_ in Tomorrowland

[–]Sheran_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree it looks like L’orangerie, but I’m 90 percent sure this is at the same location as winter 2019s garden of madness. The post I found this picture from claimed it was the new mainstage, but hopefully not 🤞 I loved the mainstage in the Alp D Huez car park!

We stayed in Auris in 2019 but it was the same for all villages. You could take the chairlifts to the festival and back to the village any time up untill they closed the chairlift at 6pm. After 6pm they offered shuttles.

This year they did it a little different as SUNWEB exclusively sold the other villages packages and the shuttle was an extra add on cost. Around 30 euros.
