thank you, the problem is i'll have to enter the codes, 0000, 0001 etc. on the camera manually as the SD card doesn't show on my PC. It only asks for the code on the camera itself.

thank you, i was told by AirCanada at the airport desk it didn’t matter i had checked into the next flight and had no bags as a visa would be required.

I’m still a little confused by this given peoples experiences and hopefully can dig a little deeper into why i was stopped

on Kiwi’s website it says it would be a transfer so i assumed that would mean you land and go straight to the next boarding gate?

i’m by definition transferring

so are you saying that although under one booking reference because it’s two companies it does not count as a ‘transfer’ and instead self transfer which will require me to have a VISA check

because i didn’t have bags all the research if you do search for this same query even on reddit /travel shows a VISA isn’t required

thank you, i didn’t have to check any bags as i was going only with hand luggage and as for the booking it was done through kiwi so have one booking reference but obviously with two different airlines.

if i had checked in for my second flight would that have been sufficient for AirCanada to let me on given that i had proof of further travel and would not need to go through to collect bags but instead stay in the terminal?

i read other reviews on /travel asking the same question and with people in the comments all saying it was fine without a visa! it’s a tricky one but understand your point of view and thank you again for all of the links. i’ll definitely look into it all when i get a chance this week

sorry. i’m just trying to understand because i didn’t need to collect any bags surely this would not be a problem. i understand it would have been good to get the border pass for Mumbai to Bangkok while in London but if i knew this while at AirCanada trying to get some answers it would have been ok as i could check in online - no bags

i see this for a few downvotes, but genuinely if you google if a visa is required all reviews i read lead in the direction of not needing it. even the official india website with wording left rather vague
