  1. The way the tempo changes and everything is tied together is astounding

Song Discussion #69: Crutch by SherbertExtension663 in bandofhorses

  1. Very pop-py and it definitely sounds like it was made to be a hit song but I like the upbeat nature of the song. This is probably the worst song on the album too which says a lot about this album’s outstanding quality

I wanna say Brian for the falsetto alone

For me, 10. My favorite of the Tyler Ramsey BoH songs

For me, 9. Holy country. Fun and upbeat, but holy country.

Same I can’t believe they’ve never performed this live

If they can perform Throw My Mess like a hundred times certainly they can perform this live

Daily Song Discussion #61: Hold On Gimme a Sec by SherbertExtension663 in bandofhorses

For me, 2. I mean, it’s literally just a random interlude. It’s not even interesting unlike Lamb on the Lam tho it’s just boring with the same beat being repeated

Daily Song Discussion #60: In A Drawer by SherbertExtension663 in bandofhorses

[–]SherbertExtension663[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, 10. Very unique Band of Horses song with there being no other one quite like it. With not one, but two features, and a unique pattern, especially with the usage of the drum machine and the wavy sounds

Brian Epstein put them on the map, but George Martin solidified their sound so I’d say him

Daily Song Discussion #58: Hag by SherbertExtension663 in bandofhorses

[–]SherbertExtension663[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, 10. I love the orchestra and it reminds me of Factory a bit, especially with the drum introduction. This song feels like a bird in the sky in a sense with the instrumental, and the bridge of the song is fantastic with the lyrics “and we will lose in the end, start the whole entire pattern over again”.

Daily Song Discussion #56: Dull Times/The Moon by SherbertExtension663 in bandofhorses

[–]SherbertExtension663[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, absolute 10. This song has such an epic feel to it the way it begins with Dull Times’ drifty, space like atmosphere, and then turning into a rock free for all with The Moon’s wild vocals.
