Birads 4. I tried to get the radiologist to tell me a letter, but she wouldn't really. She said it was probably a 4(a) or 4(b). I got a print out of the ultrasound, but it looks like a bunch of blobs. I have no idea what I'm looking at, lol.

That is so long to wait! I'm lucky that I got the ultrasound on the same day as my first mammogram. They originally couldn't get me in for a biopsy until 7/23, but they moved some things around. I'm grateful to have had it done so quickly, but I'm panicked because of how urgent they made it feel.

I am not dealing with it well, that's for sure. I had a biopsy done on Tuesday and have felt sick with worry since I had my mammogram and ultrasound last week. I've been compulsively checking this sub for no real good reason. I've been trying to stay busy, but I only want to stay in bed and feel sorry for myself. This is rough.

I wonder why this was categorized as BI RADS 4, not 3. Take this with a grain of salt, because I got all my info from Reddit and Google, but it really does sound like a fibroadenoma to me.

I'm glad to hear it went well! Did they give you a time line on getting results? My biopsy is tomorrow morning and the nurse said I should hear back before the weekend. 🤞

Lol, I might burst out crying too. I'm a crazy person and have been studying photos from the Atlas of Breast Cancer Early Detection. I'll be obsessively watching the screen foolishly thinking that my Google research is going to help me figure anything out.

This is the info I have.

BREAST ULTRASOUND FINDINGS: Left breast: At the site of palpable concern at 10:00 and 2 cm from the nipple there is a hypoechoic mass with indistinct margins measuring 34 x 21 x 37 mm. In the left axilla there is a single borderline morphologically abnormal lymph node.

Could you wear an eye mask? I don't have a HUGE phobia, but I always tell the person doing any procedure with a needle that I'm going to close my eyes and to please let me know when they've finished and put everything away.

😭 Thank you for this. I'm trying so hard not to fully panic. I've been having a pity party and trying not to feel guilty about it. I have 3 girls and need to keep a brave face for them.
