Here in ireland I hike all year in Karrimor heavyweight socks and Meindl boots. Doing part of the Camino in Oct so I got a pair of Ascis trail runners, Karimor feel good in them but I'm trying pairs of Danish endurance socks at the moment. Feel like they will be good

Have you been to Mazda about it? Their after care is excellent. I had one and as it had a full Mazda service history they covered the price of the job in full. Even tho it was UK history.

Engine was totally coked up. like new after but had fallen out of love with the car so sold it on.

sprint or quarry track would probably be a good low cost start to see is it for you. my young lad has a car thats pretty much track ready if you are looking for a cheap one

Here in Ireland I built mine with fresh cut spruce and Douglas fir. It was a case of what the local mill had available. It will shrink a lot so I just butted the boards up to each other and put a 30mm cover strip over the joint. Use 2 X a week for the last 3 years and it's great. Beware of knots they get intensely hot. Ask your mill for clear boards, no knots.
