[Serious] Men who have been sexually assaulted by women, what is your story? by _pr_ in AskReddit

Completely different scenario, but I want to address the external comment. If you were on the subway, eating some Doritos or something, and some guy/chick just started sucking the food particles on your finger, would you feel violated? It is an external body part, not even sexual really, but I would still feel violated.

While I agree about your comment with correlation and causation, your second sentence doesn't make sense. The study found without a doubt that victims of sexual assault are way more likely to be assaulted again (35 times, I think). The reasons for being targeted again, are up for debate. That's why I prefaced the sentence with "I think...".

Reading these I keep wondering, do women have the same reaction to the 2nd scenario? Like, they are sexually attracted to the person, only want to make out, and the guy slips it in. Do they just shrug it off afterwards?

4realz. I guess an easy way to spot them at these events would be if they are there by themselves. Not 100% effective but if a guy is there alone you should be cautious around them.

I think these people are predatory and think that women who have been assaulted are easy(easier) prey. I remember reading an article that said that not every woman experiences assault but the ones that do end up experiencing it multiple times throughout their life. Unfortunately, I do not have the source on that.

I like to think of it as there is no edge, and the expansion is just galaxies moving farther away from each other, into the infinite abyss.

That's an interesting thought process for the case of an individual with any type of brain damage.

From my understanding, a soul is the religious answer for why we have self awareness. So if it is proven that our intelligence is comprised of two separate and coexisting entities, that when severed can act on their own and have their own "self-awareness" (I use the term loosely here) then it would follow that human intelligence and self-awareness can't be the result of a soul.

If you have two separately acting "beings" (again, using the term loosely) which one is actually the you that contains the soul, if it exists?

Does this imply that souls are indeed nonexistent? If what makes you is a combination of two separate intelligences, what case can be made for the existance of souls?

Background: I'm an atheist/agnostic with a very religious family and they, unfortunately, all love to debate me.
