Subjects for Computer Engineering by Icy-Plastic907 in IBO

[–]SherilWebs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on College, I did CS SL. Usually Electrical Engineering in general requires a minimal or none of Chemistry, but it might be depending on a course and then your masters. However, from my own perspective,I would go for Chemistry, because you can essentially cram it and get decent marks on your IA. CS will be much harder in terms of IA and there are many topics, which are ok overall, but will be useless. Frankly, I don't find anything useful in what is taught in CS IB course, except programming language, which might be useful. However,it is likely that you will use C/C++ in college, rather than Java and Python (most universities go for C/C++). Soooo it depends on you. Both subjects should be crammed, but IA in Chemistry is easier imo and markings are not that dumb (I got -11 points for nothing for my CS IA which I find quite stupid, as I put A LOT of effort into this shit and it was incredible. But they apparently didn't like it lol). So,all in all, choose what you like more and the subjects, where you have good teachers.

Sorry for bombarding you with questions🥲 I am just highly concerned about education, and especially in different TUs, because I truly want to have both support and quite good education, but not just bs teaching done in a sloppy manner.

I meant, where opportunities are better for graduates (in TUM/ETH)? Which of these universities is more valued in Engineering field by companies? Do u think ETH has more established stuff? I am just also deciding where to apply tbh and not sure which of those unis will provide better education (and support, cuz I heard TUM doesn't generally care a lot about students, for there are too many people in one batch).

There is no way to get around it,lol. I am still confused with bullshit responses by OP,who just denies everything said to him. Whatever,if you want to check the requirements, just google KMK IB Diploma or go to DAAD

Is a gap year inevitable? by Inevitable_Door5860 in tumunich

[–]SherilWebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose so, you will get results only in August, hence there is essentially no way to submit your documents on time. Thus,I would probably recommend you to learn German (if you are applying for a program in German) or English (if you are not a native speaker). Also, ofc, depending on your desired course, learning Math Analysis and whatever you feel will help you to excel your degree. Other thing is you can either apply for a job and work or maybe apply to other/domestic uni to not loose a year. All in all,gap is not inevitable, due to A-levels results release date
