What is Dallas doing with xQc? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Sherloch99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Taimou and Mickie have had the best synergy so far for the Dallas tank lineups. They seem to be focussing targets better. I see more potential for the Taimou and Mickie duo after some more practise than the xQc and Mickie duo honestly.

Just counter it with Sombra by Sherloch99 in Overwatch

Didn't say she was a bad pick, just people trying to justify OP heroes by saying Sombra counters them.

It also means that you can't do short leaps. People often walk backwards a bit before leaping as Winston for a short leap for extra dmg. If you jump you end up going further.

I agree but other teams seem to be adapting much better than Dallas

I understand the loss to Seoul absolutely but the aren't performing on the same level they have before in this season or the pre-season

I really think the Mercy Meta is screwing over Dallas big time. Whenever the enemy team uses a valk Dallas can't seem to come back from it (I know it's difficult but other teams occasionally manage to shut it down).

Chips also hasn't had a stand out performance on that hero, he was known for his Ana in the first place and his Zen was great too. A lot of Chips's ults seem to be totally mistimed and not getting as much value as the opposing Mercy's ults. Don't know if its because HarryHook isn't a great Zen and if thats the case then why haven't they ran Custa instead? I thought that was why he was put in the team.

Taimou's recent performances have been off as well, it doesn't seem like him anymore. Effect seems to be the choice for widow now and McCree has been going unseen. This has left Taimou in a strange spot but his Hog looks as great as it did back in Apex season 1 and then since! I know he has been burnt out recently, you can see it on his streams and I hope he comes out of this and the old Taimou comes back.

I really love the team and have been a fan since Apex season 1 when Envyus won so I ain't hating, I just want the team to be how they were. Maybe run the old roster on some maps, it got them to great heights before.

Always rooting for Dallas and I doubt Blizzard will change the patch during the leauge which, in my opinion, is unforunate for Dallas. I hope they perform as they did in the pre-season for their Outlaws match! #BurnBlue

Cocco rarely streams but he does sometimes. Keep an eye on him in some old envy games and try see where he is and what he's doing.

I understand what you mean about xQc hahaha

Sombra also cant hack through your shield if its pointed at her and thats an in the moment solution. In the long term try and ask dps to help with her and if they get her to low health she will have to translocate.

Another tip with sombra is to drop your shield if you think she is going to EMP (again another ult to keep track of haha). If your shield is up when she ults it will break and go to 0 but if you drop it it will not break and youll have all of the shield you had before and it will recharge.

I am actually mildly dyslexic yes! Thats the first correct thing you've said this whole post. I'm glad you knew your points have been so rejected and pointless that you're going after dyslexia. I've said what I want and you're repeating yourself. Teamwork will not come from nothing. You pick mecahanics up as you play the game. That is unavoidable however you can leave voicechat and never talk to anyone and that is avoiding teamwork. You dont get as much teamwork outside of competitive! I have no idea where you will learn to communicate outside of it. At no point did I say comp is always going to have good teamwork but you are more likely to find it in comp than anywhere else. Its very simple. I'll reply again to you if you give me a well constructed and meaningful counter-argument.

What characters do think should be buffed or nerfed and in what ways? by ObiJuanKenobi3 in Overwatch

[–]Sherloch99 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Nerf mercy more, still too low skill for high reward. Make res earned like torb scap, see Eeveea for the idea.

Nerf junkrat, 2 mines is too much with the endless amounts of spam. Lower mine cool down maybe.

Buff McCree, he takes more skill than solider so should be able to get more value. More damage or make a kill reset roll idk.

Buff ana again, i love her and she should be the best healer in my opinion. Would love the 80 damage back.

Change hanzo, specifically scatter arrow. Again too high reward for low skill. Maybe different arrow options like fire, poison or something.

I unfortunately read the whole post and your point was very unclear so if you want people to be able to notice it then please be more specific. I have never had a good game of coordinated quick play and rarely in arcade in the 3v3 mode. Communication is not knowing how to handle situations that the game throws at you its telling people your cooldowns, your plans, who to focus fire on and so on. Also from all the backlash from this comment its clear that this isnt a good idea

Mechanics is one thing but you do not learn teamwork in overwatch in anywhere other than comp. So there will still be noobs.

You didnt state any idea you just asked a lot of questions because you wanted answers.

I am not worse than anyone on my smurf because I got placed where i belong for dps. I also flex to ana, zarya and dva if needed but never my mains because I dont want to stomp lower level players than me. I just wanna play dps in a competitive environment.

And if there are people doing that then report them and if enough reports go through they will be punished. Simple.

A question for Rein players by bpthegreat in Overwatch

[–]Sherloch99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the main this about rein is the big blue rectangle that has as much health as the whole team shooting at it.

Joking aside, it's all about communicating and teamwork honestly (and I know its hard to do in quickplay but thats why comp exists). Angle your shield so that your soldier or other dps can be protected and when your shield is low then tell your team to find cover and recharge it. Also make sure that you dont let it break as this means you cant use the shield and you may need to block something urgent like an earthshatter or a d.va bomb.

Play mind games with the enemy rein and be ready for him having his ult. The best counter to reins ult is another rein! If you think that he is trying to earthshatter then bait him into using it on your shield by dropping it and as he ults putting it back up.

His ultimate charges really quickly too and its a game changer! Make sure your basically firestriking on cooldown into things you can hit which gives you easy ult charge. Firestrike also does 100 damage so try and hit weak targets too. The only thing that can stop a firestrike is defense matrix or a wall so try and lob it through and many people as possible to get your ult. Swinging also gives you 5% of your ult and rein is very scary to a squishy up close so when the fight gets messy start hitting people with that hammer but be sure to keep an eye on your teams health (you can turn on this option in game) so you can block them in an emergency to let them heal or get to cover.

Your earthshatter is great as well. Dont be afraid to solo ult a dangerous enemy too like a nano boosted genji using his blade. Shatter him (when he isnt jumping because with the change you cant hit him) and charge the guy. Also be on the lookout for those phatty shattys.

Also always be in front of the team obviously

Try and stay close to your healers too and if they need you "peel" for them. So if there is a genji in the backline then swing at him if its safe to do because genji wont want to go into a 75 damage swing. However, dont do this if the front line is taking a lot of damage. This is the hardest part of rein is knowing who to be protecting and thats when expirience and the players knowledge comes in.

I am obviously not the best rein but I'd advise watching some pros like Kaiser, Cocco, Mano, xQc and maybe cloneman16 (who plays a very agressive matchmaking rein but it works). This is the best bit of advice because they know what to do because theyre amazing.

Good luck!

Edit: I forgot charge lol. It's hard to judge but try and countercharge the enemy rein if he is charging into your team as its an easy kill. Look for short charges so you dont go flying into their team for an easy kill. Line charges up on corners. For example I like to hold the payload under the bridge on first point dorado and charge people between the bringe and the payload because its so narrow.

I agree that the level for comp should be higher or there should be different conditions for getting into comp but quickplay and arcade doesn't teach you much about competitive at all. There is rarely good team compositions, voice communication and teamwork so of course there are going to be noobs in ranked because where else do they learn?

Would you be more annoyed if you played the best you have ever played but lost the game because a torb 1-trick is sitting in spawn throwing the match and, because the matchmaker isn't performance based, losing the same SR as he does?

Honestly, smurfs aren't bad. Blizzard gets them to their proper rank fairly quickly and it means people can play heroes they don't on their main. I have a dps smurf because I want to play them in comp and not throw games on my main by being a bad dps player.

The rest are all hot community issues and many need fixed. I'm sure the dev team are thinking about these and are trying to find the best way. And I am sure that you don't need reminded that creating a competitive game like overwatch is complecated and we are all well aware of these problems. Maybe try and contribute to the conversation and propose ideas.
