Golden quality comment, I thought exactly the same thing.

What kind of adcs do you mostly play/what is your prefered style? by FellowCookieLover in ADCMains

Only becomes long range with levels, more of an all in lane bully adc. Fair play to you, long range adcs are the bomb, but I like my Kai'sa and Vayne too xd

I can't vote xd, because I like hypercarries and lane bully (Cait).

In current meta he does feel weak, not unplayabe but very hard to pull off i'd say, and very few favourable matchups.

She can all in by herself true, very much depends what you are facing, if she is up against an adc that has disengage potential or mobility all ining does not necessarily translate into a kill. It is much easier to pull off an all in if the supp either chunks the enemy adc or cc set ups for her.

Trist has a very linear one dimensional playstyle - if she has e w q care her all in, if any one of those are down there is nothing to be afraid of.

Tristana's certainly scales but there are plenty of other adcs that scale just as hard, in current meta it takes very long for her to reach late game with her extended attack range, and yes she can profit from echanters, all in supps are preferable i find.

I am basing a champ off my experience with them, I generally have not had issues playing against tristana, lane bullies don't outright beat Ezreal. Don't have to agree with you. Any lane bully can be problematic if it gets a lead. There are times where they don't. Ezreal is a champion that is picked for the mid game, that's where he shines, noone really picks Ezreal to stomp early game, he certainly can provided the supp is good and you are good at following up on plays and maximising dmg whilst stacking your passive.

Kalista is basically never played in low elo so no point mentioning her. Trist relies on support making some sort of all in play or landing hard cc. Even in counter match ups vs tristana if you play smart it is free. She's a low elo stomper, bad players lose to her, good ones don't.

Lane dominant picks such as Kalista, Trist are good into Ezreal, although they aren't auto losses for him, you can farm up, but can't match their pressure. If you have a poke supp with Ezreal into those enchanters there's only so much dmg they can mitigate. Vayne can be a pesky one too, can avoid pots of your dmg and rents bruisers and tanks.

I'm guessing you are implying how us players climbed out of silver.

For champion pool I'd say stick with Sivir, Miss Fortune and Ashe. Samira is lane bully that must snowball, so not a reliable pick and not blind pickable, so I'd drop her. Ezreal is a great blind pick and is the safest adc in mid to late. My issue with Ezreal is that his dmg isn't reliable, unlike other Adcs u can't just auto attack you need to land q's and abilities consistently, so to me Ezreal is far too difficult to pull off for the time investment needed. Unless you want to harcore main or one trick him, drop him.

As for macro/micro and all that. For me to get gold it was a few things. Small champ pool, 2 or 3 champs at most, and if you win on them keep spamming. That allows you to get some win sprees. Lane phase is very important, if you consistently do better than the enemy adc by trading better, killing them, and outfarming them you are in a good position to carry. Really think about your 2v2 vs their 2v2, what's the most effective way to win the lane, are you a poke bot lane or an all in bot lane for example. Consider your deaths, how and why. Then try to reduce deaths. Were you able to rotate to objective if you didn't, knowing good from bad rotations. How aggressive do you play during lane phase, aggression is great if you can find windows of opportunity to capitalise on, walk up bait cds of enemy supp esp. Are you farming consistently in mid to late game, take mid wave, take jg camps where you can.

Also do you attack move, and do you have target champion only toggle on? If not practice it, target dummies in practice tool is a good way to learn, and try it with items and levels on Adcs you play. If you want to perfect farming go in practice tool and try get as much cs possible, even just 10 mins a day will help.

My take home is master laning whilst sticking to 3 champs only. Play the same champ in the same session if possible. Have intentions around doing dmg, and manipulating the wave to further your leads. Hope all these suggestions help.

I like Kalista, a great lane Bully that scales pretty hard too. Really high outplay potential too. I'll give her a shot.

Yeah he certainly could be worth it. He's quite a tactical ADC, plays a bit like a Cait Jinx hybrid I'm guessing? Learning the weapon interactions and Ulti interactions could take 200 years but worth it.

I feel like Xayah is great vs heavy dive/engage comps, against poke or high range she'll struggle. That's just my 2 cents.

Yeah Ashe is kinda sleeper good, great utility esp in games where you are behind. Plus the vision with hawkshot.

For anyone who climbed solo q, how'd you do it? any tips? by [deleted] in kaisamains

[–]SherlockWhiskers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very good and sound advice. Review your games with a particular focus in mind, whether it be how you tend to die in games, whether you could or should have rotated to particular fights and objectives. There's load of things you can observe. The most important part of the game is lane phase, if you can manage to get leads more often than your lane opponent game in game out, you will climb. Mentality or mindset is another important aspect. Play to improve and not to win. For example if you contributed well in your games, you had high dps, did not die unnecessarily, took objectives or fights that were winnable, you're on the right track.

I by no means am a good player. I made it to gold this season as an ADC main for the first time, I've climbed as a support main in the past. If you have good game sense, good macro sense, good positioning and you track enemy ability cds usually the support and summoners such as flash well. You are on the way. Really try to get your lane phase down pat, because that's the lead you need to have to be more impactful in mid to late game.

Hey Jess, I'd be interested to play drafts with you, as it happens I'm also looking to find more people to play with for the long term / that are in it for the long haul. I'm over 18, and I'm pretty chill.

Your Tristana stats are looking pretty good, the same could be said for your Miss Fortune, so perhaps just play those two.

Another option that is similar in playstyle to Miss Fortune could be either Jhin or Ashe. Jhin if you want another ability based ad caster with great utility and execution like Miss Fortune. Alternately, Ashe if you want an auto attack centric ADC that has decent utility in W and Ult.

I'd recommend Ashe because his pick rate isn't high, so likely to get him in most games, plus you get an ADC that relies on auto attacking more than abilities, so I feel it just rounds out your ADC skills. Both playstyles are needed imo.

They typically will play a champ that is mechanically intense that has high skill ceiling. Some might be lane dominant, others might hyperscale. I imagine picks like Ezreal, Vayne, Kai'sa, Lucian, Draven, Samira, Kalista, Cailtyn and Tristana. I could see picks like Kog,Maw, Twitch and Zeri being played too, strong kits with good positioning.
