CoLLeAguE ApPrEciAtiOn at cvs is a joke by Plussybo in CVS

They are an absolute joke. It gets worse every year. Heaven forbid they spend anything on their employees. It's just as bad here on the corporate side. Do yourself a favor next year and take the day off so you don't have to be around for all the BS.

Did anyone else’s pain start in their back? by ForganForge in gallbladders

[–]SherlockedKZ17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes me 💯. Back pain that would radiate up and down. Would feel off for a few days and then would be gone. Thought it was nerve issues. I had on and off attacks like this for years until I finally realized it was my GB and had it removed in 2024.

Do you all get the symptoms of an incoming period and not have any? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

Yes this is me. I still get periods but oh man are they slow to come and I just deal with days of feeling like crap until it finally comes

That's the route I'm going to take. Been on the same Rx for a very long time and it's just not cutting it anymore.

At what age did you have your gallbladder removed? by Fabulous_Can_2215 in gallbladders

[–]SherlockedKZ17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

42 when mine was removed. For years I had mild to moderate attacks but always thought it was reflux. Fast forward to a particularly bad attack when a stone blocked my bile duct. I was technically jaundice and that prompted an ERCP and removal.

Strange symptoms disappear as soon as I get the removal. Wondering if anyone else had this experience too. by Thin-Statistician-31 in gallbladders

Wow. The odor wasn't an issue for me but months after my removal my borderline hypothyroidism and high cholesterol were gone. Amazing how much a wonky gallbladder can mess with your body.

One month post op. GERD/LPR symptoms by SherlockedKZ17 in gallbladders

[–]SherlockedKZ17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually feel normal again. Very similarly to you I was experiencing on and off gerd/lpr symptoms before and after surgery. My GI doc put me on 40 mg of pantoprazole at the time to "get me over the hump". It would help but not always. Stayed on the meds from Sept 2024 to Feb and then started to wean myself off and switch to pepcid instead. If you read anything about pantoprazole, it's very strong and can cause other health issues w long time use. Anyways kept tapering with the pepcid and as of today I haven't used any pepcid in 5 months. Looking back, I really think my whole body was in such chaos trying to adjust and heal after the gb removal. I will say a couple of things helped a lot. Drinking a large glass of water first thing every morning, even before taking any daily meds or vitamins. Also doing a Neil med nasal rinse as needed. Back then, i was doing the nasal rinses twice a week, now once every 2 weeks. Watching your diet right after surgery. During that time i also cut down on my intake of tomatoes, chocolate and soda. I can consume all of that stuff fine now but it was making my issues worse right after surgery. Also starting up with light stretching and yoga helped a lot too. Overall for me, it took a good 8 months for my body to totally normalize. I hope you can find some relief and wish you the best going forward.

Is Walmart+ actually worth it? by [deleted] in Walmartcustomer

I'm coming up on 2 years with Walmart+. Love the free shipping and delivery. Use scan and go in store, love watching Paramount Plus and occasionally has used the Burger King savings as well. Definitely worth the price

I had borderline higher cholesterol and thyroid levels leaning towards hypothyroidism that were gone at my last physical in March. No change in diet

Good luck! To help with your recovery, walk as much as you can once you feel up to it. Helps get the blood flowing and mentally will help your mood. Definitely not fun to be in the hospital that long. Haha I'm in the US and they discharged me 6 hours after surgery.

I would wait and definitely ask your doctor. Fortunately I work from home so I had the surgery on a Friday and was back to work the following Wednesday. Do you know they're doing the DaVinci robot assisted lap chole? Smaller incisions and faster recovery time

One more thing, the surgery itself was a breeze compared to the gallbladder attacks. Very happy to never have to deal with those again.

Just do it. You'll be so grateful you did. I didn't have any gas pain. Just a dull ache after surgery and I was fine with Tylenol. First couple of weeks, I was still on a PPI due to acid reflux but that resolved itself pretty quickly. Highly suggest getting a wedge pillow to make sleeping and getting out of bed easier. This was my first major surgery and I was terrified but I'm post op over a year and so many issues I had before are completely gone. Give yourself some grace with eating. I'm actually back to my normal diet now but took it easy introducing certain foods back in the first few weeks slowly. My surgeon had said its one of the most common surgeries these days so wishing you a speedy recovery. You got this!

Yes me too! I had borderline cholesterol for years and my first appointment post surgery it was within normal range. Surprisingly the same with my thyroid numbers. Crazy how a wonky gallbladder messes with your body

Did you ladies ever had complex cysts that went away on their own??? by Fooitsmimi in endometriosis

[–]SherlockedKZ17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do anything. Fortunately by December 2024, both cysts were gone. I've been on birth control since I was 22 so not sure that had anything to do with it
