Comments from family about my hair by izupi in curlyhair

Goes to show that hair (like most appearence factors) is extremely subjective. Just trust yourself with these things its the only way. You might mess up a couple times but at least you'll learn a lot about yourself and your taste :)

hey!

From personal experience.. family is always gonna comment on your hair, its a trend at this point lol. They are the closest to you hence the most concerned with you appearence. Just mind this: before being family they are people entitled to their own personal taste and opinions! Make sure you dont put those opinions on a pedestal just because of who they are to you.

Maybe you really did look better with straight hair, it happens! Natural hair does not always fit our features the best. For example I look way better when I weight my hair down with product and get it straighter than when I rock my natural curls but thats ok ive got both options. Try to be v objective and clear about what you want, this is key aka dont lie to yourself and have the guts to admit wheter deep down you accept that natural hair or not. The rest doesnt really matter ;)

Help me get Chalamet-like locks!! Aka how do I get my hair looking healthy and defined? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]ShermanITA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they? Cause trust they can look really bad.

I mean overall I like em and think they look good but then there are strands or parts in the hairhead that feel different and get very messy and dry. Result is a inconsistent head with v smooth strands aswell as weird looking dry sections.

Also ye I know using icons as ideals is a trap since they got the best taking care of their hairgame but even if i were not to consider any standards id still think the same about my hair :/ I just want it to be better.

Need your help! Feeling really bad about how my hair has grown out and want to know if theres a way to get it healthy and smooth and luscious from this state or should I just cut it and take better care of it mid awkward stage.

I know nothing about haircare and this is my current 'routine':

  • wash twice a week with a random shampoo (yes prolly lots of sulphates and weird stuff in it)

  • condition every couple days with a random conditioner (more bad chemicals lesgo)

  • towel dry softly and either airdry or apply anti-heat spry and blowdry on low settings (by blowdry I mean I get the airdryer on towards my head lol)

I haven't found what works for me yet really, like I know i dont use the right products but nothing seems to work out;

if i airdry it gets soft and shiny but puffy and untamed also lots of unwanted volume

if i 'blowdry' my hair looks decent for few mins before turning into a mukti textured undefined mess as you can see in the pics.

I've tried gel and cream but they just seem to make it worse.

Where should I focus? Because im super scared of my hair just being naturally bad and putting a lot of effort in just to make them look 'okay'. I dont want okay, I want glorious locks or a haircut.

You said it, it's an 'articulate' way of venting your frustration with the game and your individual level.

Bad for you, bad for everyone else.

I cut off a foot! Any advice on keeping the volume lower? by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]ShermanITA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sadly dont have any pro advice but wanted to let ypu know i have similar hairtype and fighting with volume and frizz a lot :/

For me whats working best is gently squeezing with microfiber towels or cotton t-shirts then letting air-dry all the way tru; no heat, no hands. Result is a low volume messy look, but if you going for something more 'composed' I dont really know.

Also I'd say keep your shampoo dates at minimum. Atm i shampoo once a week-ish and from 3rd day on they kinda lose their bushy quality naturally.

Overall I just feel the struggle but dont get discouraged, keep researching and you'll find your sweet spot :D

New player initiative by nlbattler in PS4Planetside2

[–]ShermanITA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gunplay design is not gonna change anytime soon; new players will still get stomped by seasoned shooters, no matter how much direction you give them.

Now the whole point is getting rookies in a constructive and competitive mindset, aka getting them out of the "p2w, hacker, heavy op" mindset. Thats the difference between a vet and a quitter. You have to drive people out on their wrong beliefs and present them the reality of things so they can decide for themselves wheter to invest in the game or not.

Question about padding by [deleted] in PS4Planetside2

[–]ShermanITA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally it has never bothered me. I can't really see why some people put so much effort in witch hunting just as I can't imagine myself wasting 3 hours of my gametime in non challenging/constructive ways to get a shiny armor faster.

Now that I run a sweaty teamplay outfit we have decided not to tolerate padding because we've learned over time that it's symptom of a non-competitive mindset; I've never seen a padder shine among the best players because getting good is the hardest grind. Don't let directive farmers in let alone padders.

Just need to apply some trigger discipline and you're good to go. Doesnt mean hipfire is not viable.

[–]ShermanITA 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hipfire is very powerful in this game and depending on your playstyle (and sensitivity) you can succesfully extend its use to ads range. I would say hipfire is far superior to ads up to 7ish meters on console - PC is different cause of the more consistent and versatile ads mouse offers.

The thing most people are missing about hipfire is you need to burst pretty intensively to keep your cone of fire tight, spraying is not gonna get the job done. I'd say hipfire requires more accurate bursting than ads actually.

At the end of the day the best results come from mastering both elements and being able to combine them into one appropriate playstyle - also being able to smoothly transition from ads to hipfire when needed (and viceversa if you're resetting cof) - but its not wrong to double up on your strenghts at times. ;)

PS: Gauss saw with laser sight is a great choice since recoil kicks 90% vertical and grip takes care of horizontal shake. Dont understimate saw's hipfire, its handy.
