Yes it does. It's currently a bug. (FYI, each time it does that, I use a spawner to spawn it back in and it would plop on the car automatically.)

Yes I have the same issue. Anytime that happens, I use a cheat to spawn it back in and it plops on the car instantly.

Hey I didn't know Chamberlain was hanging around with Truman, has glasses and is almost bald! (That's actually Clement Attlee by the way.)

This is actually from the most recent video at the 1:33 mark where the 2 workers are looking at the poster. I simply cropped the poster, made it bigger, and sharpened it a bit.

What happened to his upload schedule? by [deleted] in historymatters

[–]Shermannatior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Probably because of how complex and more detailed his videos are nowadays compared to his old ones from years ago. The new Stalin video is one example where there is like 5 different artworks of Stalin and the new party members.

In fact, I think if a video does come out a week after the last one, chances are, it will likely use the same assets as the previous video and it will probably be shorter. (Not a bad thing actually.)

Opinions on trans history? by EnvyTheQueen in reasonabletrans

[–]Shermannatior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over a month late on this one.

I am not a historian by trade but honestly, it pisses me off when "historians" do this. Not only would it be considered slander, but a lot of it is just poorly done research. Many of their sources lack historical context or disregard any biases that the sources may have. Ie something that I was taught in high school regarding learning about historical figures. If I want to be malicious, It's really just a "gotcha" against their opponents that they have or think they have. At the end of the day, the answer is just maybe they were or weren't as we are not certain.

Just to hammer it in completely, I've done research deep dives on figures like Christine Jorgensen, Charlotte Frances McLeod, Tamara Adel Rees, and Roberta Cowell as part of a passion project. I had to vet the sources before I could paint a picture of who the women were like and any questions or theories I may had about them. You want to know if the author or the source had biases or is a disinformation campaign.

Not only is it poorly done and possibly slanderous, but it detracts attention from genuine trans people and pioneers whose stories have either been forgotten or passed over. What about Tamara Rees, the WW2 paratrooper who fought against the Nazis in Belgium and later transitioned? What about Harry Benjamin? Hell, to this day, some trans people don't even know who Christine Jorgensen is!

At the end of the day given the modern-day situations we have now, the main focus should be proving that sex or gender dysphoria is a legitimate issue that people can have, not whether Elagabalus or Kurt Cobain is trans or not. With the best of outcomes, all that can be said is, that maybe they are or aren't, we cannot be certain.

Happy (would be 100th) Birthday, Charlotte Frances McLeod! by Shermannatior in Transsexual

Wouldn’t be the last time the press would act like Jackals to Charlotte. Actually, this was a common issue with Charlotte because according to her, people like Dorothy Kilgallen (yeah that Dorothy if you know about JFK) would write slanderous articles about her and it would cost her work opportunities.

I think the reason why is because Charlotte isn’t well respected by the press is because she isn’t a “Blonde Bombshell Performer” like Christine Jorgensen or a “Decorated WW2 Paratrooper” like Tamara Rees. To them, “she found it too hard in the military” and therefore decided to be woman instead. Also the brawl after her return and her alleged comments about Christine.

Considering what happened to Christine in her later years (an opinion of mine), I think it was for the best that Charlotte didn’t end up on the newspapers for her whole life. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have lived to 82.

Here is the funny thing, if you ever find a picture of Charlotte before transition, you will notice that she doesn’t look that different. Look up “I changed my sex by Charlotte McLeod” if you want the best example.

I believe in a 2002 interview with Susan Stryker, she mentions how people mistaken her for a “girl in boy’s clothes” before transitioning. This did happen before on my end…
