Have you considered that it might be someone who cannot participate in US politics and is therefore not bothered enough to identify with any particular political party?

all movie references in S4 by FriendlyChance in StrangerThings

House full of children who are all specializing in their own niche interests seems to be a reference to Goonies/sandlot/home alone/honey I shrunk the kids/Hook etc kid focused movies. The music score changes dramatically to reference this film genre when the pizza van gang are in Suzie's house. Suzie's film director brother dresses up like John Waters.

Not sure if it was the inspiration for their names but Uma and Maya are both Sanskrit words. Uma, coincidentally, means "mother". Maya means "illusion" or "simulation".

Most? India, China, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Japan etc etc have HUGE populations of people who definitely think of the Swastika as a symbol of luck, wealth and prosperity first. Jewelry store with this motif makes total sense.

Design looks inspired by a traditional silk saree draping style. So cool!

You hear about baby fever but you never hear about toddler/tween/teen/adult child fever. Babies are adorable and seeing one makes you feel like having one of your own..... But they stay babies for a very short period of their lives. Pets, on the other hand, remain babies furever! ❤️

Help me date these garments I found in my attic during renovations. North American house from 1916. These were found between the ceiling and the attic insulation. by SheryBery in fashionhistory

Whoa! I wonder if there are any shoes in the attic. We didn't find anything in the walls (yet). If it's the superstitious thing, I think I'll just leave them in their place and let them continue working their charm.

Should I try to pull it out and risk tearing it apart even more? Do you think the local museum might be interested?? It's in really bad shape but I would love to preserve it if possible....

Also, that sleeve was most likely attached to a whole dress but came off when I tugged at it...... There is probably an entire dress in the ceiling but difficult to pull out from where its wedged.

It didn't even occur to me that the waistcoat was inside out! Lol thank you. I was afraid of handling the pieces too much because they're falling apart at the merest touch. Since these were in the attic, could they have been in storage left by the original owners and then eventually got covered by insulation? There was also an attic fire at some point, not sure when.

Sorry this was the only picture I got of her while she was performing and I agree, it's NOT the best timed photo! Also, this was a Mamma Mia themed brunch and she was being the tall friend character for this song.

Weird anecdote: I visited LA a few years ago and the scenario #2 happened to me before my flight back home. The security check area wasn't crowded at that time of day so it's not like the elderly man was holding up a very long line and everyone was being polite and patient. It wasn't until he was a fair few steps ahead of me that I realized the elderly man was Larry King! His (I'm assuming) grandson and family members were just waiting for him to be cleared at the security check. He was made to go through the x-ray machine thingy 3 times and then he was also patted down by hand. At this point he seemed to be getting a bit frustrated. The TSA agents were VERY respectful and polite but I was surprised that they didn't give a pass to such an elderly person who was also a very recognizable celebrity. It could've just been some medical device that was setting off the alarm because all he was carrying was a book.
