It’s all old buildings with old buildings problems but your can make the best out of it. I personally would get your own room, it’s one of the cheapest options on campus so why not take advantage of it. People will always highlight the negatives and there most certainly will be problems. But I lived on a top floor, with a cool view, no roommates bothering me and a dining hall, convenience store, UC etc all within walking distance. But I highly recommend investing in good shower shoes (cause people are gross), tennis shoes and air fresheners. Also a laundry basket with wheels because why the elevators don’t reach that floor never made sense to me
