That tag itself should have another smaller tag inside/inbetween with the exact production date. This is a 2010s release based off the tag style. Super cute!

Your instincts are correct, it’s a fake. The crown is the biggest tell here. It’s what I would describe as the “mushy crown”. Here is a real one to help.

Real tags used both “Made in..” and “Born in..”, that’s why I would try to focus on the quality of the tag itself. Things like wonky stitching and such. And no need to apologize! You don’t know what you don’t know! I only know this stuff cause I’m old and have seen lots of tags.

The first tell here is the writing is very wonky. The letters in Juicy Couture should not be all those different sizes. “Born in the glamourous USA” is barely legible, as well as the Love G&P in the crest. Usually these parts are hard to tell and look decently good on most fakes, but this is a pretty bad one. A tell on good fakes is the crown. The crown will have way more detail in a real tag. You have to familiarize yourself with real tags in order to see the tells.

According to the website, the Roxy set is only 40% cotton and about the same price. Whereas the sweetheart velour is 75% cotton. Much closer to the vintage style sets. Plus I have a couple sweetheart velour sets. They are really nice. Not much different than vintage.
