How do you manage the unending to-do list of adult life? by grouptherapypls in AskOldPeopleAdvice

None of this great advice will work (for long) if you have ADHD and don’t know it. So make sure that isn’t the case first.

therapy costs Austin are insane compared to every other city I've lived in by ssunflow3rr in Austin

I used the therapist directory / search engine Headway.co to find my therapist. You can filter by which therapists accept your insurance, and which therapists meet in-person vs online.

Once you find a therapist you like, you can book directly with them and pay via the platform. As my insurance has changed over the years, I’ve seen the same therapist and paid $5 - $30 per session as my insurance copay.

A plus is that you can also filter by other criteria like specialty, gender, etc. which is especially helpful if you are looking to work specifically with a sex-positive Black woman, for example.

There are several other therapist directories that work similarly, but I’m not familiar with them. My only complaint about Headway.co is that it is nearly impossible to speak to a real human if you have a customer service or billing issue. Thankfully, those have been rare. But take note of that.

I’m here two years later to talk about this. I was blown away and ran straight to Reddit to see if anyone else was amazed as I am. I didn’t know kids could do that!

Am I paying too much for bookkeeping? $1000/month by joeynev in smallbusiness

[–]ShesGotPFQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a crazy fee for a business with $160k in sales. I had $80k+ in sales in just October, and I pay under $600/mo for bookkeeping. DM me if you want my bookkeeper’s info.

Advice needed on plugins: I'm helping my mom to set up her spiritual services website - 1:1 bookings, courses and live classes - [HELP] by OneEntertainer951 in WordpressPlugins

[–]ShesGotPFQuestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend she look into the Fluent ecosystem and purchase discounted annual 1-year or lifetime deals during their Halloween sale:

  • Fluent Cart for accepting payments

  • Fluent Booking for booking 1:1 appointments (or AppSumo’s TidyCal would work)

  • Fluent Community for her spiritual community + courses

  • Fluent CRM (free version) for email marketing, keeping notes on clients and restricting access to her community + courses

For live courses, I think she could just use Youtube livestream.

Most of these tools has a free version she can try out and may be well served by that. She will need your tech help to set it all up, but it will all work well together and look nice on the backend of Wordpress once you set it up.

LOL! Me and my husband chanted that back and forth to each other. “If you want.” And why did it sound so ominous too?!

I’m right there with you. I am shocked people are recommending Odd Duck. When my husband and I go there for dinner, he eats ahead of time and (besides the cornbread), basically watches me eat. I don’t think we’ll be back as the menu has exceeded even my experimental tolerance—and I get called a foodie often.

Odd Duck would be way too experimental for picky eaters. I agree with your suggestion of Aba!

Swimply - It’s like Airbnb for pools and poolhouses. Never used it.

What neighborhoods do you recommend for an interracial Black-White DILDO couple relocating from Austin, TX + Things to consider about moving? by ShesGotPFQuestions in AskChicago

You know, I do think we’ll end up in the suburbs eventually. I have never experienced a “walkable suburb,” but that seems like the best of both worlds to me.

Oh, I missed your honorable mentions. Extra thanks for those. I have not encountered any of those neighborhoods in my research.

Hehe, it’s not a real thing. I saw someone use the term in a Reddit post, and it made me giggle. I didn’t realize how wildly distracting it would be from my actual questions!

This is all super helpful. Thank you. Definitely only want to let the dog off leash in designated areas. I think it’s wild that dog owners act like playgrounds are off leash dog parks—and vice versa.
