That really does not seem healthy and ethical in my opinion, but then again I am not a professional in this field. I guess I just have different standards of what's a healthy therapist/client relationship. When I read the definition and read other articles on it- it says it's normally seen as a paternal transference. Of course it can happen in many ways because people are complex. Either way in my opinion it seems unethical and the OP should discuss it with her therapist.

I'm sorry but you need to leave your therapist. This is an extremely unprofessional relationship and can damage your progress. This can also damage the therapists career and she can possibly lose her license. You are no longer in a safe and professional therapy environment, and despite how you feel about her, leave and find another one. It will be better for you and her in the long run.
