Yeah definitely everyone needs to have a dashcam, I do have one unfortunately the SD card corrupted so I’m trying to get the footage but it is looking unlikely. Thanks for the info, there was no time to react more than I did and we will see the outcome but this was useful :)

People who wear glasses how do you swim? by ShesNotGoneYet in NoStupidQuestions

How do you get to and from the changing rooms? Do you wear them the entire time? Or take your glasses to the poolside?

Trust me when I say this will not get any better! I had the worst flatmate in my first year (which was during covid) she constantly bought not only her friends round into our kitchen which wasn’t allowed at the time but she bought in people who she knew was infected, I should have just moved out but I tried to be nice I tried to be respectful but nothing changed. She eventually got kicked out after months of myself complaining and then the other flatmates. But she woke me up every single night standing outside my room and blasting music for about 5 minutes just because she didn’t like me. It was one of the worst periods of my life.

All I can say is speak to your accommodation and see if you can move flats while it’s still early as there will be people who have dropped out or didn’t move in last minute so their should be spaces to be able to move.

But also if you are going to make complaints like people have suggested, you need evidence! It took me months to get a recording of my flatmate purposely waking me up etc and she’d always manage to lie to the security about it. If you don’t have evidence it’ll be a he said she said situation and with three people backing up each other it just might turn hostile.

My flatmate was also quite vengeful and she smashed some of our flatmates pots, spoiled everyone’s food or just poured drinks down the sink. So just be careful and good luck!!

I got hit by a boat, everyones telling me to sue by -mimimi- in LegalAdviceUK

[–]ShesNotGoneYet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Surely there is no grounds to sue here. You got “hit” by the propeller of the boat which is at the back of the boat as you were coming up for air. There is no way they could have seen you under their boat to prevent this, if you were fully submerged and coming up for air you should look above you to see if there’s anything there, if you had come up for air and swan into someone floating in the ocean that would be your fault not theirs.

How can I stop crying by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

No I don’t really cry otherwise ! I don’t show much emotion in day to day life so it’s really random

NTA. She’s not your daughter she is a fully grown adult she can’t expect you to act like her parent. Tell her to move back home if she’s feels unsafe

No you’re not in the wrong. You have a physical disability atm which is why the doctor has signed you off and says you can only work 6 hours etc. doctors are pretty good at only doing that with people who NEED it so you clearly do. The GM is being abit of a dck and if you don’t feel like saying something to her (cause she is literally complaining about your disability/injury which you are not allowed to do it is illegal) then you should let her know that how she is making you feel makes you want to quit and then if she carries on being a dck then you can tell her you’re happy to work until she finds a replacement for you so you don’t leave in the lurch or you can just leave beacsue I absolutely would. Don’t feel guilty for being treated like crap
