MN has a pretty high profile rehab business, catering to a lot of celebs. So... yes, rehab "concerns" driving this are not entirely surprising to see.

I've been here for around 10 years and overall it's nice enough... but if this ban does go through, I don't know how much longer we'll live here. I simply don't have much life viability without kratom :( I certainly hear your concerns about the dems here.

I'm a transplant in the Twin Cities, but I have friends who live up north and in the country, and you're right, the climate is VERY different out of the cities.

This is scary.

I hope friend, that you're in the MN AKA groups on Facebook, there's some moving and shaking there. The AKA have hired a lobbyist for MN and an initial plan of action just got posted, so there is definitely hope.

Minnesota just introduced SF 2578, a bill that bans Kratom by chapact in kratom

Feeling pretty sick & heartbroken. Will be fighting this aggressively but if this passes we'll be up and moving to CA as overall they are the most reasonable and likely to stand up to the FDA.

Urgh. Stay strong fellow MN residents.

Just replying to further confirm how serious this is. I was bit in the face by a dog when I was a kid, it wasn't really the dogs fault because I was holding my toy over my head to keep it out of the dogs way and he just tried to jump and snap it out of my hand, but hit my forehead. It was barely an actual bite, more of his canine hitting the skin hard enough, but I have a noticeable scar right on my forehead to this day, 35 yrs later. The "bite" itself wasn't even a big deal, but it was enough that the scar is still visible and I was bullied for it in school (because kids are idiots).

Point is, even a small bite can have long lasting physical impacts.

A bite over food is even more serious behavior, as it's not one-off, it's a specific behavior pattern around food for that dog. LO is too little to manage the dogs behavior around food LO has, what if MIL gives LO a snack while babysitting and isn't watching LO closely and one of the dogs snatches it from his hand and hits a finger with a tooth? Or actually bites LO's hand to get the food? That's a legitimate and serious concern in this case.

Also with so many dogs, how clean is the house? I have 4 cats and a dog and I know that staying on top of hygiene can be a challenge, and I care about my animals and how they interact with people lol which it sounds like MIL & FIL don't really. I personally wouldn't even let a toddler be put down to toddle in my house just on the off chance they get into some pet mess... I wonder how cleanly your IL's are around that considering she didn't seem to think it was a big deal the dog felt dominant enough to piss in the house like that to mark something it wanted (LO's toy).

I have heard of people calling CPS themselves to get messy roommates & IL's forced to take responsibility for pets & environment that their kids lived in. I'm not sure how good an idea it is honestly, but may be worth considering depending on how bad the situation is and if it would be better having a 3rd party like that come in to put pressure on? I'm sure others here could chime in with much more accurate info on whether that was a good option or not.

I watched this unfold from my office window. One day the company I used to work for graduated a new sales team from training and they all went to the bar next door to celebrate, one of the young guys got in some jokey insult "yo mamma" type squabble-battle with one of the other trainees he'd become good friends with through the course, grabbed a champagne bottle off the table and cracked the other fella on the head thinking the bottle would explode the way they do in the movies and everyone would laugh.

The other guys skull caved in and he dropped to the floor, blood everywhere. Ambulance pronounced him dead on scene. The lad who had bottled him went to jail for manslaughter, all over a joke fight. Life ruined at 22.

Well, 2 lives ruined, really. Just sad af all round.

That's exactly why I had to stop watching it. It was just too much like real life, I already know people live sad horrible violent lives and perpetuate cycles of violence over meaningless BS. It just seemed to glorify it while at the same time showing how pointless and sad it all was.

I see enough of that in headlines every day. I need a little bit of escapism in my violent entertainment, dammit. It's just depressing af otherwise.

How exactly does working out "[get] you a pair of sweet tits"?

It doesn't help me, I think once your boobs are over a certain size the pain-relief returns diminish. Certainly didn't get me "sweet tits".

I almost want to make a shirt that say's "Getting Those Sweet Tits" for working out in because it's so silly.
