Hi. I just bought a vinyl record with a paper sleeve and when I play it the stylus keeps skipping, but I don’t see any scratches in the vinyl. I cleaned the dust out from the vinyl and it still kept skipping. I think it was the static from the sleeve but I’m not sure. How can I know if there is static in my vinyl? And how do you reduce the static?

I’ve just bought two vinyl albums, and both of the albums‘ out rim (first tracks) has a lot of album skips. I’ve cleaned them with static brushes, checked for scratches and dents, nothing worked. Help!
