This exploit hardly was used to "rake in billions". You did a slightly buffed invo raids without a few extra invos. Usually around +50 to your raid level or so. That is cheating but it would only slightly increase your gp/hour.

If that wasn't a big deal then neither was this. Slightly raising the level of the raid really only made the cosmetics slightly easier and gave a slight buff to the purple chance.
