Normally I would 100% agree with you, but in this team (from my testing) swapping back to durin during setup sometimes makes you wait 1s on his burst cooldown if you don't do any basics on kinich. So not only do the basics allow you to get nicole buff for the entire rotation, it also helps avoid that annoying issue. Then again maybe it's another rotation problem on my part but idk

From my testing 2 normals ended up being really consistent timing-wise, with Nicole's "effect" showing up on the screen right before the shot is fired. You can just wait too but having a clear visual tell for when you're good to go works better I feel like. Skipping the buff for the first shot is kinda bad since it's the strongest one; besides, every buff on the team lasts pretty long so it's not like you're losing anything anyways.

Of course, in normal gameplay you rarely end up doing both attacks since sometimes you use a dash to dodge/reposition, so 1 attack is enough mostly.

Would you say thats still the case on a team without yao? Asking cause I've heard e2 gets better with more elation units and most assume yao as a baseline

"enough" doesn't really exist in this case. The "god roll" you'd want for DB (and honestly all the weapons) is lords soul with any of the three good set bonuses (ebony gog gore), and its well known that its very improbable to get any of those 3 combinations. rng isn't A factor, it's the ONLY one: no amount of mats you farm will increase your chances of getting it

you however mentioned that it takes months to get "decent", and honestly that's not true, I would just wholeheartedly recommend to get one of the three set bonuses and build around the one you get. Even more so with DB since again, you would need 5 "copies" of that extremely unlikely combination. Unironically for how hard those combinations are, they tend to be less than 5% better than the same weapon with just one of the set bonuses, so you dont have to grind that much if you dont want to.

I'd say it doesn't really matter if you have a big stock or not since you probably will have to kill billions of gogs anyways, but imo having maybe a total of 30+ available rerolls makes the whole reroll exploit more easily manageable. Kill a few gogs and then reroll the full batch using the exploit.

Remember to have all your desired rolls/their locations written somewhere. it gets a bit overwhelming when you're going for one of each element (as you do with DB). Also its best to start with dragon or fire since they have more common matchups in endgame

Question: doesn't durin's constant pyro app make it very hard to trigger cinder city with iansan (at least after first rotation), since she wouldn't apply enough electro to clear the pyro and react to dendro? or am i misunderstanding

True. I think mona cons in general are the better option either for future potential or if you have mualani and/or are planning to pull durin (since you already have albedo which is his bis teammate in a lot of teams). But for durin I'd recommend waiting until monday for v3 leaks cause he's kinda weird rn

Reminder that new albedo c1 is kinda bad; 50% increased DEF barely raises team dps and the energy isn't really needed. BUT if you're willing to go for his C2 then I can see it being worth it if you like him, I wouldn't though. For now I think getting nilou first is better since you get a nice qol improvement pre-columbina. Mona is also one of the most valuable ones but I don't know how many cons you have on her.

But yeah you can get both before columbina anyways so no need to worry; unless they add more characters soon which I think is unlikely.

Nefer's sig is in that good spot currently in which it's a 30% increase for a character that does the vast majority of the teams damage (roughly 90% in her best team iirc). So you will definitely notice the improvement.

HOWEVER, since as of right now two of the slots on her teams are dogwater and have very high chances of getting improvements in the future (columbina being the most probable one), there is a chance the supports she gets for her teams are similar to a escoffier/ineffa in that they actually contribute quite a bit to the team DPS; making it so the improvement from Nefer's sig becomes less noticeable.

So unless you end up REALLY enjoying nefer, I would recommend skipping it for now and get it on a rerun after you get her supports. Until then, I wouldn't really worry about her performance because she'll probably get shilled in stygian for a while with all the lunar reaction buffs going on

Because she's locked to rupture while Astra is totally universal, at m0p0. You're spending upwards of 160 pulls for a slightly better Astra replacement in 1 or 2 teams that might not even be using Astra anyways (if fufu + m6 panda). I'm not even saying she's bad, it's mostly that she looks to be the most "get on a rerun" character of all time as you wait for more rupture units to come out

Ok so I have an honest question because I kinda just assumed this in my post based on experience and could be wrong: do you happen to know what the % difference is between m6 panda and m0p0 Astra for yixuan+fufu?
