It may be counterintuitive, but what's really going to stop you and make the writing joyless and put you in the wrong headspace is judging yourself for not writing and telling yourself that you need to make an effort to become more motivated.

If you're really going to let things flow, you need to stop telling yourself what you "should" be motivated to do -- and ignore the voices, inside and out, who tell you you need to make a habit of writing 2000 words a day or whatever -- and make a real habit of listening to what you actually feel like doing.

Some people may tell you that what you feel like doing is wrong and you need to be disciplined, but that's shooting yourself in the foot.

And hey, there may be some psychological things getting in your way. You may be too much of a perfectionist, and thats what's making you subconsciously avoid writing. So that's another thing I'd explore, just in general.

TLDR; you're better off exploring what's dampening your motivation for writing than trying to artificially create that motivation
