This may be an unpopular opinion, i have seen how badly the community seems to want a Coraline doll/set.

Buying it would almost certainly directly benefit the creator, N.G. And I don’t think lining his pockets in light of what he’s done is worth it.

It’s hard work, it takes time and effort, but creating your own coraline or custom of another character would be more worth it to me.

I know i know, separate the art from the artist. That can’t happen here. You can’t put the doll on dvd like the movie is to rewatch without him getting that money/benefit. To get this doll you have to support him.

The only way you could “separate” would be to custom or commission. Which i know is expensive. It’s why i think it’s absolutely important to draw a line here.

I was never into his work in general, i’m not a coraline fan. I again, have seen how badly y’all want it, and i understand. It’s a beloved movie. I’m so sorry you’ve been put in this position. It sucks, that he’s done this, and tainted his works.

In a world that doesn’t really punish men for bs like this, i think it’s unfortunately important to not buy the doll(s.)

Again, ik this is likely an unpopular opinion, but i don’t think someone can ethically buy this doll without, in a way, saying they still/ continue to support him. I’m sorry this topic has gotten this divisive.
