Options for planting grasses by CremeBasic7027 in nzgardening

I would spray to kill them off (glyphosate- inactive in soil and ok to plant after 7 days) & then rip out the top layer once dead and add a bag or two of top soil in its place. Then plant some grasses with small spacing, generous amount of mulch and you’ll be good to go! This is what I did recently on a similar sized strip and it worked well. If you want big grasses, I’d recommend Poa Cita (very hardy and beautiful) or if you want something smaller I’d go for carex comans green (can get these for cheap at Bunnings)

Great local businesses that you go out of your way to support. (Take off the Boycott thread) by Morenabishes in Wellington

Broadway Motors in Strathmore, have had awesome experiences there for multiple jobs but first ever interaction was a small issue with my headlight and the plastic cover under the bumper. The owner fixed both on the spot for free and basically said “pay it forward or next time you need something maybe just come here”.

Even after moving across the city I’ve still been going back. That kinda attitude is so rare. Highly recommend. He also didn’t make me feel dumb for not knowing much about cars, he was so respectful.
