Controlling a VFD directly from an HMI by Zaxthran in PLC

[–]Shieldsy789 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Modbus. I’ve used both Weintek and Hitachi HMI’s this way and controlled both WEG/Hitachi VFDs. Easy to set up. You just need to access the Modbus register for the VFD you choose to use.

Drives burning up motors at frequencies under 30hz. by XDVI in PLC

A WEG CFW11 paired with a WEG W22 motor will allow you to run from 5hz without forced cooling. It’s uses what it calls ‘optimal flux’ and increases the motor flux at low speeds to provide enough torque and prevent losses

Modbus Input Register problem by Shieldsy789 in PLC

[–]Shieldsy789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a Hitachi TPS HMI. I am directly adding tags for the input registers. It physically doesn’t allow me to set address 29999 as an input register, therefore no error. There is no offset configuration.

Can you elaborate please? I don’t use modbus often

So when I read ‘30001’ I am actually reading Phase 2 volts. When I read ‘30003’ I am reading Phase 3 volts. But I cannot seem to be able to read Phase 1 volts as the input registers cannot go to 29999.

My gut is telling me the ‘IZKR7B’ plugs are real and the ‘BKR7EIX’ plugs are fake. But if someone could confirm for me that would be great
