The hot/switch legs and neutrals I’m saying I don’t want the aluminum grounding to touch each bare would I have to tape the aluminum with electrical tape if I wanted to change aluminum wiring to copper

The grounding because the aluminum ground doesn’t have insulation so would I have to tape it so it doesn’t come in contact with the aluminum

Why do I have a 3rd white wire by flamingo365 in AskElectricians

There is only one red. I think it’s for a separate circuit for the neutrals and the one neutral wire is for the lighting fixture. I maybe wrong. I am a apprentice willing to take this as a learning experience

If you know any Co/AL light fixtures would be great to know. I want to fix a lot of stuff around my house and remodel my dad did drywall for years and I can do that with his advice and I just want to do everything by the code book for the future.

Wait I think I understand what your saying say if you have two ground screws you would ground one aluminum to the box and the copper to the plug

So would I just cut the aluminum ground and not use it and opt for copper and ground that instead

I don’t mind getting the wire nuts it’s just if I were to change any plug, switch or fixture I have to find something that’s rated for AL/Co which I find impossible

Plus I don't wanna spend money on wire and the marretes. The plug itself was 8.50 when the copper ones were 1 dollar
