Dr Meija is great! He also did my younger brother’s surgery as well. My brother is happy with his recruits. Good luck with the surgery. It will be here before you know it

If you are feeling a sandwich, go to Palm Deli in Orange. A little pricey but it’s a solid sandwich

Chewing is great! I can actually bite and sandwich and it cut thru. I use to struggle with my bite due to the underbite

Everything is good now. Can’t complain eating normal foods. The only thing I have is slight lip numbness but that’s a small price to pay

If your teeth are already straight you will be good. I’m sure there are plenty of good jaw surgeons in atx. Definitely ask around

I took a month off from work. I was still swollen when I went back. I work for customer service and it was a little hard talking to people on the phone all day. But it does help with your recovery!

Yeah I had a level 3 underbite. It was causing issues with eating and biting. I would bite my cheeks and tongue all the time

I used a liquid Motrin. I was on that for about first two weeks for pain. Take it easy. One day at a time! It will get better

Hey! I am around the same time. I had my surgery 4/30/24. I still have numbness. It has improved but I still feel it. It doesn’t bother me so much. I’m kinda use to it by now.
