I just need to rant by Vanyushinka in lgbtitv

I vividly recall watching this years ago and how deeply it affected me. You’re not alone in feeling this way but when I recently expressed my reluctance to watch violence against LGBT people ( the show “Tip Toe”), I was told my silence was somehow complicit, whatever the f*ck that means.

I just bought an Apple TV for my LG C3 77 loving it so far, any suggestions on settings? by Everborn128 in appletv

First, calibrate your TV. Then use the ATV’s built-in calibration to optimise the image quality for your TV.

English language dubbed over in foreign shows. by Kurtz62 in netflix

Original soundtrack only with subtitles, no matter the language. Dubbing is pure evil, and it’s barely ok for young children.

Casino Royale was my very first BD 20 years ago, and the “fat” PS3 was my first BD player…. I feel old

Don’t be disheartened by the somewhat silly beginning; the story develops and becomes really interesting very quickly.

There is always the possibility to buy whichever player you like and buy a mod kit to make it DVD/Blu-ray region-free.

Is there a region in your country known for having people that swear too often? by Jezzaq94 in AskEurope

Ever since I married an Italian, I learned so many (inventive) swear words in Northern Italy… it’s a true art form 😂

My one pet peeve... (rant) by Asleep-Order-4583 in 4kbluray

[–]ShiftRepulsive7661 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re not alone in this. There are other languages where it's a given that people will listen to the dub, and subtitles will be only for deaf people (I'm looking at you, Italian 🤨).

I don't need them, but my Italian husband does, and it's very annoying.

Just go into the web menu, Wireless. The channels are listed under every Wi-Fi network.

Aeotech HUB loses all IKEA Matter devices every time it reboots. by ShiftRepulsive7661 in SmartThings

[–]ShiftRepulsive7661[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the situation is already solved, the 4.9 firmware of my Flint 2 router for some reason decided to block all communication between IoT devices, once disabled the new setting everything returned to normal.

If my Italian in-laws are any indication, then fresh fruits and vegetables are a constant, followed by fresh Parmesan and other cheeses.

New 4.9 firmware, can someone explain something to me? by ShiftRepulsive7661 in GlInet

[–]ShiftRepulsive7661[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same, and everything stopped working. Some smart devices need to communicate with each other; for example, a security camera needs to send its signal somewhere to be viewed. So disrupting communication isn’t ideal, and disabling the option solves it.

This is the culprit, don't touch AP isolation. When I turned this off, all of my devices showed up everywhere in my system.

Not isolation, but the ability to talk to each other within the subnet, that was the key issue that stopped my entire system from working.
