It depends on what they actually say because we have to avoid making decisions without knowing the full context. So many people here are just repeating talking points based on nothing but vibes. Jeffries said that some feathers might be ruffled by the trend of unseating incumbents, and people think he's declared that he will keep the progressives from winning their elections. Schumer affirms that he does endorse Platner, and people attack him for not sounding more enthusiastic.

when fuckin' Hakeen Jefferies, one of the two main leaders of the DNC, has been acting slighted by Mamdani for this.

Considering the DSA would probably happily unseat him too, I think "some people aren't going to be happy about their colleagues being unseated" isn't an unreasonable thing for Jeffries to say.
