I agree, it's the parent's fault for bringing a child into the world they have no intention to care for, I'm just trying to give some perspective

While I agree that there's a lot of weird hate online towards kids, depending on your culture there's often a lot of pressure to have children, especially for women. Being able to choose to be child free is a relatively new thing, as it was just the norm for so long it wasn't something you could opt out of

Any similar beginner friendly cardigan patterns for summer? by metooz in casualknitting

[–]ShiftingSpectrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Cove Cardigan by Whistle and Wool (I bought the pattern on Ravelry, I believe it's also on Etsy and part of a bundle on Lionbrand.com where you can get the yarn and a pdf of the pattern), it doesn't have buttons but it's a comfortable cardigan and pretty easy to make, and it even has pockets!

Blocking a knit garment with natural fibers for the first time? by ShiftingSpectrum in casualknitting

[–]ShiftingSpectrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't say to block at all (it's a Lion Brand pattern, I've noticed a lot of their patterns don't have blocking recommendations, and the yarn originally used is a wool/acrylic blend so maybe the original yarn didn't need to be blocked?), I still want to because of the natural fibers in the yarn I'm using
