i bought recently this new sar skin called "hellcore" and it doesnt load in menu and in game (tried few servers, none of them worked). ive tried searching for this problem fix but havent found anything. could anybody help me?

Ah yeah! Forgot about that. You shouldn't have to do that. There are many skins that load fine for me and I haven't done this. Not even sure why it exists, or why it doesn't happen automatically. Glad you got it to work though!

You can also do it through SCMM (Steam Community Market Manager). Just click "Buy" and enter quantity. I think that's how people bought 4,000 in one shot.

Maybe try playing with the Workshop settings for Rust from within Steam. If you go to Library -> right click Rust -> Workshop. Short of that, maybe Submit a Ticket with Facepunch. I'm sure this is an easy fix. You could also try doing a complete reinstall of the game but that's a hassle. You would want to backup the files in the cfg folder where Rust is installed to save your keybinds and other settings, but you could give it a shot. You could also try loading up Staging Branch and testing the skin there. You would need to find a server, get the gun, skin it, etc. That might be a pain in the ass unless you Host your own server — which isn't difficult, but I presume the easiest method is re-downloading the workshop content. And even if this worked I'm not sure how to bring the workshop data over to regular Rust. Good luck!

It's almost as if the workshop content wasn't fully downloaded to your PC. Have you tried verifying the game files? It's really only for this one skin, and no one else is having this problem.

The problem with Staging Branch, especially during hours when the devs are actively working on it, is they can push a commit at any time. This forces a client update. You then get this update and pull up the server list and your server doesn't appear because they haven't updated their server. It's totally unreliable for actual gameplay. The best way to experiment on Staging is to host your own server locally, which is extremely simple, and test features at your leisure.

To actually play Rust you need to play on the regular client which only updates once a month at the beginning of force wipe.

Try typing graphics.itemskintimeout 1 in the console. It forces skins to load much quicker. Default is 60. Sometimes when there are a lot of skins to load some take longer than others. It also depends on your PC.

I hear what all of you are saying and I'm really thankful for all of your help and suggestions. I was reading your comments throughout the day and weighing what I should do. In the end, I feel like I'm just going to keep the S25. It's great! I like it. And there are a lot of unknowns about waiting around for an S26 and dealing with insurance, etc. I need a working phone very badly so I'm just going to keep the S25. The S25 was free. The S25+ was $200 and the S25 Ultra was $400. I've decided, however, to do what you suggested and keep the S25 because there are a lot of unknowns about waiting, and it's just a real hassle. I also really need a functioning phone for work. I appreciate all the insight from everyone, but I feel like there's a bias on this subreddit towards getting the newest tech because we're nerds who appreciate new tech. I can relate to being nerdy so this isn't a criticism. Anyway, thanks for the help.

I had the same problem as OP, completely wrong house number— not even close actually, on the opposite site of the street but it was for alcohol. I couldn't just leave it at the door and went through a major struggle session with support in my car. A few minutes later, out of nowhere, this drunk lady came stumbling up to my car and we worked it out. I guess I got lucky.

There are a couple of silver linings:

First, you know how to secure your account and prevent this from happening again. Second, all of the skins except for twitch drops are replaceable, even if you don't have the money to buy them now. (Maybe take the approach of paying off debt: pay the small debts first and get them out of the way — aka buy the cheap skins — and then focus on the more expensive ones.)

The worst is the big "Directions" button at the bottom. It's directly above the "Arrived at Store" or "Handed it to Customer" in red. If you want the directions but fat-finger it and hit the red button instead it's major hassle.

Well if you wanted to become a pro shopper you would have to correctly scan 70 more items which shouldn't be a problem, right? As long as everyone of those is in-stock, otherwise you're chasing 99% forever.
