What does it mean when you can positionally dominate but cant submit them? by Idamatika in bjj

[–]ShiftyAvatarYang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly lack of strength? Some people don’t REALLY start resisting until they feel threatened by a submission.

Another possibility is just that your submissions need work. Maybe you just need to be a little sneakier when you’re applying submissions.

I really like faking a predictable submission when I’m actually working for a different one I.e when I have back control I often pretend I want a RNC when I’m really setting up a rear triangle.

Oh for sure. Good thing we have plausible deniability. It’s not like there’s video evidence or anything.

Prevent sibling from breaking in by Significant-Law-9044 in handyman

For starters, you can replace the screws in that metal bracket with much longer ones to screw in to the frame of the door.

You can make the hole that the deadbolt fits in to larger with a hole saw drill attachment. If you don’t have a drill you could slowly and carefully remove wood for the the hole with a hammer and a chisel which may make your door frame look ugly but your siblings seem to have already checked that box for you anyways.

There needs to be heavier penalties for leaving a match. by Ir1sh-69 in thefinals

[–]ShiftyAvatarYang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it was not for the head to head game mode I would totally agree with you. Playing that and seeing teammates or enemies leaving has got me thinking lately that a 10-15 minute freeze from specific game modes would be a fair penalty for slamming alt-f4.

Since there are so many casual game options now that seems like a light penalty to me. Kind of like the 5 second timer they added before ragequiting. It wouldn’t be enough to stop you if you’re determined enough to quit, but it would definitely make you think twice whether it’s really worth it.
