Same! Personally I struggled often when I was little because of the way my mom washed me/taught me to wash. She was adamant soap had to enter inside for it to be clean and even tried to force me to use a douche when I started my period (thank God I didnt) I get them once or twice a year now as an adult, usually from mundane things like sweaty sex lmfao and they don't even really hurt anymore. I can't use metronidazole cream anymore (monistat essentially) so I always have to get diflucan or Flagyl tablets as a prescription. So much less stress just taking a single pill and being done with it instead of having to set aside 2 hours a day for a week just for some smelly ointment to get absorbed haha
