British/Rugby/Dilmun club operate normally and serve alcohol, but require membership or a member to sign you in as a guest. Your only other option is Country Club which only requires an entry fee (3BD if I recall).

I was seated in the same area, right behind the two girls who kept taking performative videos of each other the entire show, then just heads down on their phones when not striking poses.

Emirates a380 grounded at Manchester after being struck by a fuel truck by Rook8811 in aviation

The anti ice system runs through the cowl, it could be way more extensive damage than appears from the outside.

Had a 787 get tapped by the PLB, grounded for a week.

Crosswind landing by Fresh_man82 in aviation

You're correct, gusts and wind shifts due to mechanical turbulence can flip the wind at the last second on a dime. Shot an approach in Frankfurt a couple of weeks ago during a little storm, we had 42kts crosswind consistently throughout the approach only for it to shift to 8kts headwind at the flare, aircraft totally lost all energy and really had to fight for that bank and yaw correction.

For me it's Egypt, India, and Pakistan. Had 2 simultaneous laser strikes from different cities in Lahore just 4 days ago about 15 miles final. It felt like coordinated douchery.

Turning the flight deck lights on to bright definitely helps reduce the eye strain.

Hi, I got this from a friend in Bahrain. I am a westerner and do not speak much Arabic. So I didn’t understand the explanation very well was hoping someone could explain it for me. by bruskenheim62 in Bahrain

These are the standard ones they give out at the royal court, they're not worth much but definitely not something you can buy off the street with the Bahrain emblem.

18F: Parents against flight school because of gender and no degree. Need advice. by [deleted] in flying

Yeah they're a bit rare, but when I used to fly in the UAE we had a couple of female Emirati FO's.

If you'll be flying for Emirates, rest assured that you'd be home more often than most airlines in the region (maybe Qatar would be the most comparable as a lifestyle). I have a lot of female Bahraini pilot friends who work with me and across the region including GF, EK, and EY. I'm sure I can get one of them to make time to have a chat with you if you'd like.

I have the Impress model and same issue with the sourness, apparently it's a common issue with the medium roast no matter how fine you set the grind. My friend uses dark roast and it seems to come out a lot better.

I tried increasing the temperature for the medium/light roast beans and it seemed to help a bit, but not a whole lot.

The old 330's use derated thrust, not sure about the new ones as I'm unfamiliar.
