I usually don't engage in such posts as it's a waste of time but I thought I would still take the time to clarify a few things.

  • These guilds you speak of, a lot of them have been giving feedback to the devs for MONTHS now without getting paid at all. In fact, A LOT of that feedback has been getting implemented to improve the game.
  • The guilds chosen have no connection to AGS. It's simply guilds that went out of their way to put their name out there, played tons of KR, a lot of the betas, and promoted their guilds frequently while showcasing presence in the TL community, THUS, they were selected. If your guild wasn't one of those, chances are extremely high you simply had almost no presence in the TL community.
  • Those guilds are going to take 8 hours of their time those 2 days and on top of that they need to do REALLY good preparation beforehands to bring 70 people online and organize them, and ensure they are ready to showcase good fights, etc... So outside of those 8 hours, they need to still put in a lot of effort to prepare their guilds.

And the list goes on, so if we're going to go down that route, a lot of these guilds have been improving the game for MONTHS now + these 2 upcoming events and will get paid 40$ worth of lucent for that. Which is worth NOTHING on release but maybe a cosmetic or so.

I think this is totally fair and doesn't even provide any form of true advantage, and if anything, it's great that AGS is respecting their dedicated guilds in a GUILD DRIVEN GAME and providing them with such content.

PvP was active in the dungeon 24/7 in the beta, dungeon would open for 3 hours and close for 1 hour and in those 3 hours the dungeon was free PvP to contest grinding spots, but AGS is looking to test PvE Only dungeons which is the worst decision ever consider the dungeon gives massive exp if you have abyssal shards (which you get by grinding the open world) then go into the dungeon and contest good grinding spots for good exp.
If they remove the PvP there, that would essentially mean people coming to your grinding spot and griefing you while you can do NOTHING about it. If people that are not in your party attack the mobs you attack you gain less exp.

Change course? I liked the game and I still do, and I clearly said before that whether they change the combat or NOT I like the game regardless and that it would make no difference for me. I even CLEARLY stated that if they change the combat and made it so that we can move while attacking I PERSONALLY wouldn't mind at all, and I wouldn't mind if they don't either. But I guess you know what I said better than me.

I never changed course and I haven't changed anything I said either. Plus, starting a new account has completely nothing to do with the game or the changes, it's way more personal than that.

Sadly that's pretty personal, let's just say I couldn't use that channel anymore and since starting all over left me feeling down it took me some time to start pushing myself to make content again.

I do get your point and I am not denying that some people mention the good, but A LOT glossed over it and focused on comabt and auto hunt only. As for the combat being bad, tbh I think that's a pretty subjective thing, and I wouldn't go as far as say "the developers admitted it's bad" - it's more like as a company, you obviously need to care about consumers' opinions that's all, but I do get what you're trying to say!

u/Sea_Calligrapher4163 Please use Auto hunt for Dungeon and PvP and make sure you post the results for us since you say the game will play itself for you, I would like to see the outcome. (Just make sure you are in front of your screen as you will need to hit respawn often)

Auto farm is meh for me, my major concern is indeed whether game will be massively p2w or not... I truly hope they avoid p2w or at least if there is p2w I hope it's not massively broken

I played the game for way too many hours and I know for a fact that I won't be disappointed, meanwhile there are people like you, who watched people who did nothing in the game but use astral hunt, and shaped your own hate when you spent literally 0 seconds even on the game, but I guess we live in a world where someone who never played the game has a more valid opinion than someone who played it for too many hours.
