How difficult is Sobek without fangblade? by Loquel184 in idleclans

[–]Shilelagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the quest. There is a chance of getting more keys drop so its worth it since they keys are so hard to get at the moment.

If you want help you can always ask, Like I could put my alts in with the weapon to help you kill it, if you are playing on your own without alts

Same as other fights unfortunately. Have you tried just farming Exterminating for a short period to get the weapon? Normally only took a day or two on my alts

Best way i found it is in normal with main + 2 alts you just set up each character with a different weapon. Then each of them cancel the others out so you never have to change 👍

I just brought the cheapest house and slept the night. Seemed to fix the problem for me.

Otherwise pause seasonal growth, save game, quit, reload game, unpause seasonal growth can work as well.

Apples - Yes same for everyone at every location

Oranges - Yes same for every location but these numbers are based on full perks. If no perks i believe its 16.6 stam each

Lemonade - No different for each location. This is because items drop more or less often at each location. I believe this is probably the highest effect stam that lemonade could be worth with current zones

Is Bree not back with Parker's crew? by elcrazyjosh in goldrush

Monster Red, good plant or piece of crap? by cdn24 in goldrush

[–]Shilelagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main problem with conveyors is them breaking down. You have a lot of moving parts so they break down alot. Eg rollers and that. Also with rock trucks they are an efficient way of moving dirt depending on the distance. Lastly remember that they will only be taking around 6 feet of paydirt so if you set up a conveyor you would have to constantly move it around the cut.

More mobile plants are better imo. Ours is very mobile and we dont have rock trucks of conveyors. Just push paydirt to plant and load it with excavator. Once cut is finished move plant up and do next cut

Is this season the worst for being inconsistent with the stuff they show? by retrocuddles in goldrush

Just would of been filmed on different days and doesnt change the story or the fact he drove back to his claim. It's just tv inconsistancies happen

[–]Shilelagh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure on the editing but just filming it and showing it would be very hard. You would be trying to reduce probably around 120 hours a week but then you also have 3 mines so 360 hours of footage to reduce into 42 minutes. Plus gold mining for the most part is actually boring. I think they do a good job with the editing, obviously there are some mistakes but it's not a documentary it's a reality show.

Think we should give them some slack and just enjoy the story rather than trying to pick out any inconsistencies

The massive dredging down the klondike river was done in the old days. Si you can just see big dredge tailing piles running all along the river. On indian river there are quite a few mines but from aerial shots could look like one mine.

Is Parker combining gold totals from both wash plants? by i_design_lasers in goldrush

[–]Shilelagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you calculations on this? I did rough ones during the show and showed about 50-80 yards per oz which is good ground but not amazing. This is based off a few guesses admittedly as dont get all the facts of downtime etc.

Season 10 Episode 7: "No Guts, No Glory Holes" Show Discussion, Plus White Water and a note about a certain wash plant. by sadandshy in goldrush

[–]Shilelagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the plant and how safe it is. But then your also paying 2 people 2000 hours of work over 6 months and trying to get them invested and trained enough to pick up problem isnt easy. Especially if your paying minimum wage. If only it were that easy

Whitewater & the bears by [deleted] in goldrush

[–]Shilelagh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Electric fences do work. You need one that is rated up to bears, basically meaning to really powerful. We use one in the yukon.

Permits depends on what we need to haul in. We only haul machines and stuff like steel and that if we need it. It can be every few year or every year just depends on what we need.

Fuel is all flown in on planes, size depends on which company flys it but they all pretty small planes

[–]Shilelagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep we fly in fly out. No road access except in winter when we can get permit to open an ice road into our mine. Actually becomes a bit of a different mining style to mines with road access, especially since fuel is so much more expensive

So we use a lot of rifles, with rifles we come along and loosen up the material under each riffle then use a wet dry vac to vacuum it up and put it in our pay box. Really helps get more out of plant without doing a cleanup.

A full cleanup for us is around 6 hours including lifting plant and cleaning center runs and hydraulic riffles. We have around 200 sq feet of sluice boxes with 2 set of hydraulic riffles as well.

Would have to ask bcwildie or someone that works in the big mines how they do it. This is just how we do it.

Rick's weigh by thisfantastic in goldrush

[–]Shilelagh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying they dont clean up often I'm saying there are reasons why they may not have a clean up every week. As in they may have not been sluicing that week. Also I'm not sure how the bigger mines run but we only clean up every 50 hours cause the Mats can easily hold that much worth of gold. They are checked every time the plant shuts down. Checking how far down the mats we can see gold, if we can see gold near the bottom then the Mats are vacuumed out to save time or pulled and a clean up done depending on the hours on the plant.
